Let the dead bury Michael Jackson

Let the dead bury Michael Jackson

"… And let the dead bury the dead."
–Matthew 8:22

Michael Joseph Jackson won 13 Grammies and sold more than 750 million records worldwide over the span of four decades. This same person also exhibited bizarre behavior and faced child sexual abuse allegations.

Yet, Rev. Al Sharpton, Michael's entertainer friends, and the major TV networks covered up this dark side at Michael's memorial and elevated him to hero status.

The so-called memorial was about unrealistically lifting up a black Michael as the "king" in order to lift up blacks, and, in so doing, lowering the value of the hated white man (i.e. making Michael bigger than Elvis Presley).

Rep. Sheila Jackson, D-Texas, announced at the memorial that she and her colleagues have introduced HR 600 to officially proclaim Michael Jackson "as an American legend, musical icon, and world humanitarian – someone who will be honored forever, forever, forever … and ever."

Who was Michael Jackson?

Michael used his Heal the World Foundation to fight illness and poverty among children around the world. But he was also deeply disturbed, despite what false black leaders want us to believe. Here are some troubling facts:

* The latest report indicates that Jackson's death appears to be drug induced.
* In a 2003 U.K. TV interview, Michael revealed that he saw nothing wrong with sharing his bed with children – and that it was "love."
* In 2005, Michael was tried and acquitted of child sexual abuse (but had also paid off another sexual abuse accuser).
* Over the years we've watched a young black boy transform physically from a normal looking child to a white-skinned, straight-haired, self-mutilated freak.

In the days following Michael's death, his father, Joe Jackson, held a press conference with none other than Al "The Riot King" Sharpton. Sharpton took center stage and babbled about the need to protect Jackson's legacy and focus on the "positive."

This race hustler was up to his old tricks of using code language to tell blacks that, after all, Michael Jackson was black, and we can't let white folks question his character or bizarre behavior.

Sharpton then took to the podium at the Staples Center during Michael Jackson's memorial and proclaimed in a phony loud preachy tone, "Michael taught the world how to love." He said to the Jackson children, "There wasn't nothin' strange about your daddy, it was strange what your daddy had to deal with" (i.e. racism).

We've seen this before with O.J. Simpson. Every time a black man is exposed or publicly rebuked, so-called black leaders begin to stoke the flames of racial animosity.

In this case, celebrities like Jamie Foxx played the race card. Foxx said of Michael Jackson during a recent appearance at the BET Awards, "We want to celebrate this black man – he belongs to us – and we shared him."

What if when Elvis Presley died, a white person got on TV and said, "This white man – he belongs to us." See how ridiculous that sounds?

It's 2009 and most, not all, black people have become the real racists. Over the past 50 years or so, whites have confronted and come to terms with whatever issues they had regarding race, and they have largely overcome those issues. Many blacks, on the other hand, have nursed their anger over real or perceived injustices of the past and seriously hate white people.

It's unfortunate that the Jackson family has allowed race to be an issue by selecting a race hustler like Sharpton to become their spokesman.

Sharpton is a one-trick pony. He's not concerned about the Jackson family or about giving the tormented soul of Michael Jackson a respectable memorial. He's after money and self-promotion. This desolate and empty shell of a man who has made a fortune blaming "whitey" has nothing to offer but racially divisive words.

Blacks mocked Jackson for disfiguring his face with plastic surgery. Now, Sharpton, Sheila Jackson Lee, Jamie Foxx and others want America to respect and recognize this "black" man? Give me a break!

Sharpton is already calling on the U.S. government to commemorate Jackson with a U.S. postage stamp. This is sick and godless! There are plenty of real heroes more deserving who've sacrificed for this great nation. We have soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan bleeding and dying, their remains returning home with no fanfare or recognition.

Too many black people are morally bankrupt and lack God in their lives, so they're treating the deceased Jackson as the third coming of the Messiah. (Barack Obama being the second!)

Michael Jackson was many things – "hero" wasn't one of them. I'd never buy his stamp!

Hah! They haven’t thought of it yet I’m sure or ol’ Joe will surely come up with it if they don’t bury him in a hurry.

There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs—partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs…

There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who do not want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.

But there are still ‘people’ who are not sunk, who have courage and will survive whether the country does or not. Jesse is one of them IMHO.......

Not yet. The obituary of our country has been written every 20 years. This country was founded by God and we are simply in another faze of growing pains.
