MSNBC's David Shuster, who was suspended in 2008 for proclaiming that Chelsea Clinton was being "pimped out" by her then-candidate mother, on Monday challenged a representative of Free Republic as to what he would do to try and "discourage people" from using "hateful, vile language" on the website.
Guest Kristinn Taylor, a spokesman for the Washington D.C. chapter of Free Republic, appeared on the show to battle with the MSNBC Live host over offensive comments that were posted on the site about 11-year old Malia Obama. Taylor combatively contradicted an assertion by Shuster that some racist remarks featured under a picture of the Obama daughter were reposted on the web page after initially being removed: "Well, David, unfortunately, it seems you've gotten your story from the Daily Kos, which is not a reliable source of information."

Taylor needed to correct Shuster about the thread getting pulled more than once. Shuster threw it back in there after getting corrected. Also, Taylor should have brought the Kos poster who suggested planting racist posts here.

Well, kristinn was prepared with all the ammo and some props, but looks like the producer cut the segment short. He saw that Shuster was getting his clock cleaned so suddenly brought it to a halt. I could hear him screaming CUT!!
Does anybody know just what the shyster’s actual ratings are? Does he have more than 17 viewers?
Kristin did well, and while Schuster tried repeatedly to put her onto the hook unfairly, she stayed on-message and wasn’t fooled. I’d give that exchange a 9/10.

Yeah, Chris Parry. If it was allowed to be said there, then any and all posts from that thread would be suspect at that point.
He sure looked prepared and calm. Shyster started in condescension mode, turned frustrated and the segment DID seem short to me given the build up and drama-queen/inquisition aura of the whole thing.

The original kerfluffle bugged me because the guy can’t even get his street cred terminology right. There is a huge difference between pimping someone, such as a young woman, for profit, and pimping out something, such as a car or an apartment, that is, decorating it with exaggerated, kitschy accessories, paint job, etc.
I was going to post an off color comment about that Liberal sport, what’s it called... ***bagging? But then I thought better of it because I don’t want the moderators to become angry with me.
Of course, I don’t know anything for certain, but I suspect a lot of that information had been provided to various media organizations prior to Kristinn’s interview. They may not want to go anywhere near that guy—bad news. I noticed they didn’t even mention his name. Did they even mention what paper the article was in? That said, the interveiw was pretty darn short.
And WE all know who the pinhead and Patriot of that round would be.
These people have no morals and values.
If we can show that Kos advocated planting racist posts on this site, nothing they say will ever have any merit and hopefully the debate will change to their tactics, where it should be. Go for the throat!

Conservatives are so easy – accuse them of committing a sin and they resign and disappear from public sight forever. We in the progressive community are much smarter – we don’t believe in sin. However crazy, irresponsible, and outright criminal our behavior is, you can’t call us sinful because that would be forcing your values on us. You can’t call us hypocrites because we never said we were perfect. You can’t say we’ve lost shame because we can’t lose what we don’t have. Human imperfection is our standard, our goal, or breeding ground, our primordial soup if you will. We stand for nothing and have no values except those that may hypothetically exist in a distant socialist utopia that may or may not happen.
