Actually I don’t believe I’ve ever seen that particular term on FR. The offense was the use of “ghetto trash” which was interpreted as being racist which doesn’t say much that’s nice about the interpreter. It says that “ghetto trash” can only be a certain race. What does THAT say about those that are howling?
Now, where do we send it?
Don’t just tell us, send the urls to that reporter in the Vancouver newspaper. In fact, we should ALL refer him to those websites.
AND MSNBC should be inundated with them as well.

Send it to Drudge. It’s simple. Go to www.drudgereport.com. In the extreem right column, you will see a box labled “SEND NEWS TIPS TO DRUDGE [ANONYMITY GUARANTEED].” You have to scroll down to find it.
All you need to do is cut and paste the link into that box.
Once Drudge picks up the story, other sources often feel the need to follow to remain relevant.
We did have a race-baiting troll (newbie) a week or 2 ago that used the word with asterisks. Someone used the term “Black” and the race-baiter said “don’t you mean N?” I hit abuse and the poster was gone. In checking their posting history, almost every post was about race.
The media won’t touch this because it is their team spewing the bigotry and hate.
There is no excuse for the media to behave like this except for their bigotry.

The government will now pay to translate that word into Spanish so that they can find another word for the color black (which, incidentally, is where the word came from).
Part of the reason I suspect this whole thing is going to fade fairly rapidly is that the entire idea of the Kos kiddies excoriating FR for intemperate language fades so very quickly upon the most superficial examination of the respective sites. That doesn't address the overall topic of racial slurs, but it does bring up the uncomfortable topic of using them to sabotage your political opponents when your own hands are so very unclean.
I think a large part of the problem is that anonymity acts in opposition to accountability. That may sound odd coming from someone who posts under a pseudonym, but inasmuch as this particular one is over a decade old now even that encourages a certain restraint. For someone who posts under his own name (more or less) as you do, all I can say is more power to you.
For the posters of the stuff you just cited, all I can do is offer sympathy to you and a warning to them - that ugliness does leave scars on its perpetrators, and that that old warning Mom gave you about your face freezing up like that when you make faces at other people - it turns out to be true. Actually, he is wrong twice. There are white women with black children who live in ghettos, so he is wrong that no white people live in ghettos. He is also wrong by addressing who LIVES in ghettos. My question was "who CREATES ghettos?". That is the crux of the issue.

WEll here in this county when one hears that word “ghetto trash” it usually means someone living in the housing projects here. Since our county is still about 96% white most of those folks are white too but by using ghetto trash you cover everyone.
