No wonder -- he's a McCainiac kind of guy. From the thumbnail bio:

That makes him a kind of damp Tory and a soul brother to all the "mittened" RiNO's who are sticking Land's End knitting needles and steak knives in Sarah Palin.
That's funny. However, we're talking about government here. That kind of bureaucracy -- even in such a small town -- can (and does) exist.

“Dead” conservatism, the more it is attacked by shrillness, is doing better and better at staying in front of the public as a reminder of our past and an alternative for the future, especially as madness consumes liberalism.
I sent the guy a nice, long email correcting his impressions expressed in the article. The letter started with:” Your column was clever, studied, and completely wrong”
