Sen. Amy Klobuchar: Judge Sotomayor, if you were judging baseball who, in your opinion, was the better player; Pittsburgh Pirate Puerto Rican great Roberto Clemente or lilly white redneck Marvelous Marv Troneberry of the old Amazing Mets?
Sotomayor: I suppose would have to go with Clemente.
Klobuchar: Judge, I would agree with you...just goes to show that a wise Latina can get them right. And I trust you'll apply that standard when you get to court.

Remember Folks: Doing the right thing even to your own hurt is a good thing. It is called having leadership and principles and that is a good thing. Holding your nose and compromising it not leadership. We in Minnesota understand that.

Another Minnesota person in Congress that all those Swedes and Norwegians and Germans should be very proud of.
OH- I forgot the high Muslim population of the Twin Cities.

Leahy’s goofy facial expressions make me think he is looking for a new girlfriend and he knows Sonja isn’t married.

I’d trade Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan to Canada for British Columbia!

Ask Sonia if she would approve of the umpire calling stikes / or not based upon the hitters / pitchers skin color ?

The real tough questions from the radical left. Makes me puke.

People need to watch Prime Minister's Questions from the British House of Commons. (It's on Cspan every week.) The only real questions come from the opposition. This has been true when the Tories were in power too. It's just the way Politics work. Questions from the party in power are ALWAYS supplied in advance, and are a complete waste of time. But they shouldn't be a surprise.

Actually...ND Senator Byron Dorgan has been one of the few Dems who is against illegal alien amnesty....Mexican trucks....and bad free trade deals....unlike many GOPers who claim to be “conservative”.

Now, Minny has Al Franken....

This gives new meaning to the expression: “Softball question.” What did the wise Latina respond?

LOL...I bet Canada would go for a straight-up deal to send Quebec to the US for Minnesota.

Better French-speaking Canadians than the Third-Worlders (Hmong, Somali) that Minny seems to be attracting

Holding your nose and compromising it not leadership. We in Minnesota understand that.

Doing the right thing . . . . . . Let's review:
Sens. Klobuchar and Franken (D-MN); Rep. Keith Ellison (first muslim elected to Congress), Rep. Betty McCollum (91% progressive rating), Rep. Collin C. Peterson (cosponsor of the Agricultural Job Opportunities, Benefits, and Security Act of 2005, which would provide amnesty and job protection for three million illegal immigrant agricultural workers and their families), Rep. Timothy J, Walz (the son of a public school administrator and community activist); allowing an election to be stolen under your noses . . . . . . . . . . I'm still looking for the correlation between "Holding your nose and compromising it (sic) not leadership" and "doing the right thing". ESPECIALLY after the Franken debacle.

“Actually...ND Senator Byron Dorgan has been one of the few Dems who is against illegal alien amnesty....Mexican trucks....and bad free trade deals....unlike many GOPers who claim to be “conservative”.”

Actually......Byron isn’t liked at all by the NRA - as follows:
In no state of the union is the congressional delegation so far out of step with popular sentiment about gun rights as in North Dakota. Unfortunately, Democratic Senator Byron Dorgan (*D+) is expected to beat Mike Liffrig (A). Dorgan has been getting negative attention for his brief appearances in Michael Moore’s deceptive Fahrenheit 9/11. Although Dorgan did not have editorial control over the movie, his choice to appear in a film by a well-known anti-American enemy of the Second Amendment revealed extremely poor judgment.

Go to votesmart.org to freshen up on old Byron’s voting record. Not on does he hate guns, he loves taxing folks, is BIG on abortion and the list goes on. You can freshen up on his record as every vote he ever cast is right there for God and anyone else to see.

We need to revive this thread after Klobuchar asked Kagan some hard-hitting questions about Twilight.

Is this this woman's MO or something?
