Politics: John Kerry, replying to an op-ed Sarah Palin wrote on cap-and-trade, suggests the Alaska governor "check the view from her front porch." What she sees from there, senator, is energy wealth going to waste.
The political death of Sarah Palin has been greatly exaggerated. In a devastating op-ed in the Washington Post, Alaska's governor exposes the cap-and-tax fraud that has nothing to do with earth's temperature and everything to do with government control of the economy. She also exposes the stealth socialism ambitions of the Democratic left and once again points out the availability of abundant "shovel-ready" resources under America's soil, off America's shores and even in America's rocks.
Judging from the reaction from Sen. Kerry and the political arm of George Soros, one must ask: If Palin is spent as a political force, why is everyone on the left so worried and talking about her?
Kerry took to the ultraliberal Web site Huffington Post to object to Palin's description of "the president's cap-and-trade energy tax" as "an enormous threat to our economy." In Alaska, she wrote, "we understand the inherent link between energy and prosperity, energy and opportunity, energy and security."
Kerry, who opposed the Cape Wind project off breezy Cape Cod because a wind farm capturing energy from ocean breezes might spoil his view, went ballistic. In a thinly veiled reference to Tina Fey's "Saturday Night Live" skit, he repeated the warm-monger mantra that the "global climate change crisis threatens our economy and national security in profound ways" and that "Gov. Palin need look no further than the view from her front porch in Alaska to see how destructive this crisis can be."

Why didn't Kerry just respond back in the Washington ComPost?
Conservatives don't read HuffPo anyway, and this is just chum for their liberal readers. Nobody's mind is being changed here. So why did Kerry even take the time to write this?

****MoveOn.org began e-mailing members Tuesday, asking them to fund a rapid response ad blasting Palin's op-ed.****
I read the Palin article almost the exact time it was published (it was posted here). Then the next day I peeked at the comments section because I knew the left wing nuts would come out of the woodwork. Sure enough most (like 90%) of the liberal posts were a solphmoric as can be. It's funny that those are the people who constantly lecture us conservatives on how "intelligent" they are. It's as if they believe that hating Jerry Falwell qualifies these people as mega intellectuals. It's no surprise that these Beavis & Butthead wanna-be's got their proding from moveon.org.

I posted this on another thread. Does anyone think it has potential?
I have an Alinsky idea. Why not use their rules against them. What are the reporting laws governing donations to moveon.org? For instance if everyone uses a credit card to donate 1 penny to moveon.org, the administrative costs would be astronomical. Not only are the costs prohibitive, but an electronic record of donations is established for audit purposes.
SarahPac on the other hand is allowed up to $200 USD for unreported donations.
Can we kill them with their own rules?

JOHN KERRY: HUNTER, DREAMER, REALIST
. . .COMPLEXITY INFUSES SENATOR'S VISION
By Laura Blumenfeld
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, June 1, 2003
John Kerry eats dove. Even better, he shoots them. From behind the stalks of a Southern cornfield, he'll watch them flutter and dart, and fire. . .”You clean them. Let them hang. It takes three or four birds to have a meal,” said the Massachusetts senator. “You might eat it at a picnic, cold roasted. I love dove.”
—snip—
A close associate hints: There's a secret compartment in Kerry's briefcase. He carries the black attaché everywhere. Asked about it on several occasions, Kerry brushed it aside. Finally, trapped in an interview, he exhaled and clicked open his case.
“Who told you?” he demanded as he reached inside. “My friends don't know about this.”
The hat was a little mildewy. The green camouflage was fading, the seams fraying.
“My good luck hat,” Kerry said, happy to see it. “Given to me by a CIA guy as we went in for a special mission in Cambodia.”
Kerry put on the hat, pulling the brim over his forehead. His blue button-down shirt and tie clashed with the camouflage. He pointed his finger and raised his thumb, creating an imaginary gun. He looked silly, yet suddenly his campaign message was clear: Citizen-soldier. Linking patriotism to public service. It wasn't complex after all; it was Kerry.
He smiled and aimed his finger: “Pow.”

The fact that Kerry responded to Palin’s op/ed by blogging on the HuffPo says a lot about him, and none of it good. The HuffPo is where so many of the deranged hang out, like the talentless hacks Geoffrey Dunn and Shannyn Moore, whose only claim to fame is that shey have spend months attacking Palin, and spreading rumors and outright lies.
It’s great to see the IBD come to her defense, and at the same time slam Kerry, and moveon.org. IBD has a circulation of about 250,000, too bad the Wall Street Journal doesn’t have the insights that IBD has.

I wonder if the Kerry's view, the one which would have been obstructed by wind generators, is the same as fellow Cape Cod resident, Presidential Science Adviser and Thersa Hines Professor of Science Policy at the Kennedy School, John Holdren? I suppose you could assume a conservationist would want to conserve views. After all, the view is non-renewable.
