German intel: Iran could have nuclear bomb in six months
(REUTERS, July 15, 2009) via JIHAD WATCH.org ^ | July 16, 2009 | n/a

SNIPPET: "BERLIN - Germany’s BND foreign intelligence agency believes Iran is capable of producing and testing an atomic bomb within six months, much sooner than most analysts estimate, according to a report in German weekly Stern.

The report, which quotes BND experts, says the agency has information supporting the view that Iran has mastered the enrichment technology necessary to make a bomb and has enough centrifuges to make weaponised uranium.

“If they wanted to, they could detonate an atomic bomb in half a year’s time,” the story quoted a BND expert as saying.

The BND did not return two calls from Reuters seeking comment on the report."

“INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES’ ASSESSMENT
Iran Is Years Away from a Nuclear Weapon”
By Yassin Musharbash and Holger Stark
I

SNIPPET: “Because of “Sindbad’s” information the BND knows how long the mullahs have been trying to reduce a nuclear bomb down to a size that one of their Shahab rockets could carry. Only then would a nuclear bomb become a strategic weapon for them, equally able to intimidate and deter. And thanks to “Sindbad’s” insights, the BND are convinced that this is exactly what Tehran means to achieve.

The BND cannot say with any certainty how far along they are with that. “Sindbad” left the country last year. He was caught exporting prohibited goods into Tehran in October 2008, sentenced early this year and then deported to Canada. But Bergman says that Israeli intelligence assumes the Iranians won’t succeed before 2014.

Additional enquiries into customs duties at the time of the investigation that led to the capture of the spy had some further, spectacular consequences; the Federal Prosecutor’s Office claimed that German lead trader, Hans-Josef H., had delivered certain special materials to Tehran. A BND expert was called in during the court case, which ended in a confession.

The Point of No Return

According to a report in Stern magazine, the BND operative also talked about Said Mohammed Hosseinian, who is alleged to be Iran’s chief purchaser. He is “one of the most world’s most wanted men” who, “for years, has been trying to procure materials for Iran that cannot be got through legal means.” Hosseinian, who, according to Stern, is married with children and in his late 50s, runs a tight network of cover companies for this purpose.”

That can’t be. The Dem’s and the CIA said they gave up their nuclear weapons ambitions years ago just as Bush was trying to do something about it cutting him off at the knees.

Europe is going to get deal with a major crises without the US doing the heavy lifting this time. It will be a new experience for them...

“Clinton: US to engage Iran, protect friends”
Posted: 16-07-2009 , 08:23 GMT

SNIPPET: “She continued in reiterating that time was running out for Iran. “We remain ready to engage with Iran, but the time for action is now,” she said. “The opportunity will not remain open indefinitely.”

Clinton also vowed the US will “not hesitate to defend our friends, our interests, and above all, our people vigorously and when necessary with the world’s strongest military.”

“Our willingness to talk is not a sign of weakness to be exploited,” she said. “This is not an option we seek nor is it a threat; it is a promise to all Americans.””

Europeans are not at all concerned about Iran getting a nuclear bomb. We all understand it is a charade by the military industrial complex and their bought politicians to get a bigger piece of the pie.

Well shure “we” would not be happy if iran gets the bomb. but iran is not considered as a security threat for europe.
“we” do buisness with them and all Europe is interested
is the contine of the oil flow from this region. so for example the EU does not have special interessts in iran or this region which could result in a conflict. it´s israel who has to worry.

maybe but i would not consider iran beeing a neighbour of europe. they are pretty far away and as said there is no special conflict between EU and Iran. Iran is an important trade partner for EU not more not less.

...and all Europe is interested is the contine of the oil flow from this region.....it´s israel who has to worry.

So, you don't think a major nuclear detonation in the Middle East would disrupt oil flow to Europe? Wow. How naive can one get?

Not only would a major nuclear detonation in Israel, and following, the complete destruction of Iran, disrupt oil flow to Europe, it would also disrupt oil flow to the rest of the world and Europe would be left begging the Russians for oil and gas. Life as you know it would cease to exist, my FRiend.....

did i say that? i only said that iran is not seen as a dirrect security threat for Europe. that´s why i said europe is only interested in the contine of the oil flow.
iran is just a trade partner (btw. much more important than Israel). there is no big conflict between iran and EU.

did I say that?

Yes, in fact, you did, only using different words:

Well shure “we” would not be happy if iran gets the bomb. but iran is not considered as a security threat for europe.

This statement is naive in the extreme, but it gets better:

“we” do buisness with them and all Europe is interested is the contine of the oil flow from this region. so for example the EU does not have special interessts in iran or this region which could result in a conflict. it´s israel who has to worry.

The contradiction in the above statement is unbelievable. When the Straight of Hormuz is blocked and the entire region is contaminated with nuclear fall out, 40% of the world's oil will cease to flow and that includes flow to Europe. Europe, and in fact, the entire world, most definitely has interest in keeping Iran from detonating a nuclear bomb in Israel or even gaining the capability to do so, regardless of whether or not you realize it. Your ignorance on this matter is astounding.....

did i say something different? When have is said that detonating a nuclear bomb would have no consequences. but you seem to think that the day iran gets the bomb they would have nothing better to do then quick write Israel on it and then send it on its way. but my original post was directed to a Freeper who stated that “ Europe is going to get deal with a major crises without the US doing the heavy lifting this time.” and all i did was pointing out facts that this is not true because Europe has no special beef with iran. thats all. Because Iran getting the bomb would not let to a major crisis in Europe. Iran using the Bomb... well this would be a different topic.

Iranian Website: Russia Deliberately Delaying Bushehr Reactor Completion

The Iranian website Tabnak stated that Russia is deliberately delaying the continuation of the construction at the Bushehr nuclear reactor, in order to raise work costs, and that it is also not selling S-300 missiles to Iran, which would be for defense against a possible attack on the country by the U.S. and/or Israel.

The website assessed that if Iran is attacked, Russian oil revenues will double.
