Two Questions for Supreme Court Appointees

I would sincerely like to have all Supreme Court appointees answer these two questions.

Question #1 :

Please explain the meaning of the words, Powers herein granted, as read in Article 1, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United States.

Ref: All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.

Question #2 :

Please explain the meaning of the words, powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, as read in the tenth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States.

Ref: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

I would then determine if the two answers could be reconciled.

I had offered these questions in a response to A Question For Sotomayor but I was curious to solicit other responses from the wide range of Free Republic correspondents.

I just sent this to some of the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee:

Watch how she slows her speech to take up your time and doesn’t with Democrats because she knows the questions and has already practiced her answers. Senator Lindsey asked her a question and she says “I understannnnnnnnnnnnd the Constitution.” That is so obviously affected. She didn’t speak like that to the Democrat who questioned her.

Sonia Sotomayor CREATES HER OWN PRECEDENT and then follows it and claims she’s “following precedent” and it’s “settled law.” This documents that she will be LEGISLATING LAW while on the Bench and bypassing Congress. She will have the Position and the Power she craves. She will get her agenda across by creating precedent while on the Supreme Court. It’s so obvious that her tone of voice and inflection show a disdain for Republican males.

I can really tell when she’s practiced her answers. Her voice is totally different in tone and inflection.

She never stated that the 2nd Amendment is a FUNDAMENTAL right when Sen. Graham asked. She is evasive in answering any question that tries to pin her down to an answer. Especially THIS ONE. She’s claiming the 2nd Amendment will have to be subservient to the State Laws? Is that what I heard? Senator Graham is “hoping” she won’t be an ACTIVIST, but her past is prologue to her activism.

VOTE NO to confirm Sonia Sotomayor for SCOTUS. She is NOT qualified. And she WILL Legislate from the Bench. She’s dancing around but that’s what she is saying?

As a JUDGE she won’t use Identity Politics but in her Private Life she will?? La Raza, Senator, 17 years and claiming ignorance of lawsuits? Pres. Obama says 20 years under Rev Wright and claiming ignorance of “God D@mn America.” C’mon, Senator. She’s not being real.

She regrets offending some people but she doesn’t regret saying “Wise Latina Woman.”

Thank you, me, Retired

I’m emailing this to the Judiciary Committee.

Maybe after the break?

I'd love to ask the members of the Judiciary Committee the same questions. Obama claimed he performed as a Constitutional law professor so his answers could also be revealing.

I know I won't receive answers from the Judiciary, Obama, or Supreme Court appointees but I was hoping others on Free Republic would respond.
