The NAACP's Red Roots

Black radical WEB DuBois, who later joined the Communist Party, was the organization's first director of publicity and research, as well as editor of the group's monthly publication The Osiris. This publication gave DuBois an excellent outlet from which to pour forth all manner of racial invective against whites, supposedly in the name of "promoting equality." ....

DuBois was known to have "hailed the Russian Revolution of 1917" and he travelled to the Soviet Union in 1926 and 1936. He especially liked 'the racial attitudes of the Communists'."

In 1922 the NAACP started to receive grants from the Garland Fund, a big source of funding of Communist Party projects. Officials of the Garland Fund included Communists William Z. Foster, Benjamin Gitlow, Elizabeth Gurley Flynn, and Scott Nearing. Other prominent left-wing officials were Roger Baldwin, Sidney Hillman, and Harry F. Ward, the "Red Dean" of religion in America." The Garland Fund continued to pour money into the NAACP until around 1934. Even when the money stopped, the Communist connections continued.

"In 1938, the NAACP was represented at the World Youth Congress, a Communist enterprise. In the 1940s the NAACP was affiliated with American Youth for a Free World, the American affiliate of the World Federation of Democratic Youth, a Communist clearing house."

A most literate apologist for the NAACP was the well-known Langston Hughes. Hughes was affiliated with Communist Party projects from the mid-1920s until he passed away in 1967. In fact, in 1962, Hughes wrote a book entitled Fight for Freedom: The Story of the NAACP. In this book he stated the following:

"Attempts to label the NAACP subversive, Communist-influenced, or out and out Communist have continued for a long time." In light of the evidence available, can anyone with a brain honestly wonder why?

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF COLORED PEOPLE (NAACP) - "In 2002, then-NAACP President Kweisi Mfume led a delegation to Communist Cuba "to learn more about [that nation's] education and health systems." He embraced Marxist dictator Fidel Castro and urged that the U.S. open more trade with Cuba."

If America had a public education system rather than a public indoctrination system, this would not be news.

High praise and kudos to Mr. Alford. He was having absolutely nothing to do with it.

FReepers should applaud every pundit that calls these “liberals” who control America’s government what they are, a Marxist insurrection.

Find anyone?

(What is the sound of one hand clapping?)

I know a conservative black man, who said, in a high school English essay, that NAACP stands for “National Association for the Advancement of Communist People.” He was in Detroit. The teacher was black, and all of the students, in that school, were black. The teacher argued, and he told her, “They don’t care about all Blacks. They only care about the liberal ones.”

It’s probably the only way they can operate. They would have been toast along time ago.

"...Dubois...especially liked 'the racial attitudes of the Communists..."

Hmmmm..... Were those the same Communists who used to spit in the faces of, and physically assault black African revolutionaries on the streets of Moscow in the fifties, sixties, and seventies? Naw... that was probably their children....

All the Russians had to do to mollify them back then was name the world's most profligate terrorist academy after their favorite African mailman (***if you can name that illiterate mail clerk, you win the daily Red-trivia prize***).

The left sure loves to decry "America Imperialism", but for almost 40 years of the "Cold War", with the exception of Afghanistan, it was always the Russian Communists who sent ethnic minorities to destroy their own countries. At least when America goes to war, we send our own young men (white, black, brown or otherwise, they are Americans), and not just ethnic proxy puppets, sent to terrorize their own countrymen, and then die by the millions for a bunch of uncaring Commissars behind the Kremlin walls.

I wonder what's going to happen when (if?) regular black folks in America finally figure out how craftily the radical leftists among them have somehow convinced them to hold themselves back in the most free society on Earth.
