CIA Caught 'Off-Guard' By Jakarta Hotel Terror Attack

U.S. intelligence officials were caught "off-guard" by the Friday terror attacks against two U.S.-based hotels in Jakarta, Indonesia.

A second U.S. counter-terrorism official said the CIA and other intelligence agencies had given no indication to the White House of "any threat reporting in the last 18 months" involving the Indonesian al Qaeda affiliate, Jemaah Islamiyah.

"Any suggestion that the CIA has not taken the JI threat seriously in recent years is wrong," said a CIA spokesman. "No one from the CIA has ever said that this terrorist group was completely down and out."

U.S. officials had been confident that the group had been dismantled after almost of all its leaders were killed or captured in a joint operation involving Indonesian, U.S. and Australian personnel.

"They were quiet but they weren't dead," said former White House counter-terrorism official Richard Clarke, an ABC News consultant.

Anybody who would literally play politics in the blood of terrorism victims should be strung up. I'm glad you aren't working for our security. That suggestion is absolutely sickening.

With all due respect, that wasn't a suggestion. It was an observation, given the stubborn-kumbaya-mentality of that Magic Negro. The level of empathy that he is giving to murderous religious fanatics is what's truly sickening, especially to people within the CIA.

Consider: you work for the CIA. You have to deal with some real human scum to protect the USA, perhaps even putting yourself or loved ones in real actual danger. In all likelihood, there are CIA officers who have lost loved ones in one of the dirtiest jobs possible. Anyway, you've risked much for your country.

Now comes along a naive waif who seems to believe that defending American citizens somehow motivates religious barbarians to hatred of ANY Western democracy. He removes all of your effective tools for you to do your job. The Speaker of the House, seeking to score political points and obtain more power, without any proof calls your entire organization a bunch of liars in order to protect her sorry ass. And the AG is publicly considering witch hunts in order to score political points of his own.

Now, I ask you: faced with a sickening group of political-whores who are cynically risking the lives of millions of American citizens to further their radical agendas, would YOU still be willing to do your job to the best of your ability?

I'm sure there are many within the CIA who are exasperated, thinking right now, "What's the point?"

Oh, and one more point. Democrats have been BLATANTLY playing politics with our soldiers' lives for the last 8 years. And they haven't been 'strung up'; they've been promoted.

“Too worried about Pelosi or watching right wing, gun toting, religious vets in our country.”

And let’s not forget about the administration focusing on the global warming issue, as Nancy the idiot Pelosi has stated to her like-minded marxists in China...a clean environment is a human right!
