Reports to us from Iran have put the high end of the crowds at around three million, which seems high unless we take into consideration that riots erupted all over the capital of Tehran and also in other major cities. Tabriz clashes ended up with dead demonstrators (numbers range from two to twenty two). Unrest in other cities too.
CNN estimated the crowds in Tehran to be in the “tens of thousands” but then commented that with the crowds seen in the videos they received it could well have been “hundreds of thousands”

Sadly, we just learned of the fate of a relative of a friend -- the last statement was something on the order of "I am going out and might not live to return home." Prophetic -- was captured, tortured and murdered by the regime.
It's not very Christian, but I am tempted to echo: "Marg bar diktator." And I reminded of this music video.

Now is that an aggregate number over the past month? Or is this a new set of demonstrations? 3 million?
