The ATF - as expected - has issued a letter in which it disregards the 10th Amendment restrictions on federal power (as seems to be the trend since the late 1930) and has notified Tennessees federal firearms dealers that the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act is meaningless. Essentially, ATF is saying to the state of Tennessee that the 10th Amendment no longer exists.
We expected such from a tyranny that no longer lives within the bounds of its express authority

Best regards to all,
Jeez!
bump ,, looking for the lead soon ,, it’s coming ,,, people getting all they can take of the FED’S ,,,,,
Yep. The states have no representation and the people have no control over the Senate. Since the 17th amendment, they are a rogue body of government, and answer to no one.
It’s happened before with them darn revenuers!
(Sounds like a great name for a convenience store!)

simple answer to problem, new law
Any person who attempts to enforce any Federal Law without the Express Written Consent of the County Sheriff, Shall be Guilty of Treason. All persons arrested for Treason Shall be Tried immediately upon Arrest. The Jury shall be members of the Family or an agent or agents appointed by the person they are trying to enforce said Federal Law against. Upon Conviction Defendant shall be Executed Immediately.
problem solved
They’ll enforce their fed laws ONCE.
ONCE.
“State’s Rights effectively ended when Woodrow Wilson
rammed through the direct election of Senators.”
-
It started way before that...
Well several states have now passed these things. Will be interesting to see when someone will start making firearms for sale only in the state of manufacture.
Only then will we know for sure how the federal courts will react to the Feds overstep of the Constitution.
Well, if you’re going to say that State law in effect supercedes federal regulation that violates the 10th,
why would you give any credence to a FEDERAL court that rules against you?
The legislatures should simply follow up with a law stating that federal courts have no jurisdiction superceding a state’s legislature when the matter at hand is internal to the state.
They completely ignore the fact that the federal government claims that the “interstate commerce clause” is what gives them the power to regulate firearms and simply say, “Your law is void because we said so”.
Statists only understand brute force. TN take note and take care of things.
I think a 50cal. would look good on the front lawn.
Shoot, seat belt laws and all the other uniformity you find in the States in regard to transportation makes enumerated powers of the Federal Government a joke. They just use the Federal Income tax to suck dollars from the States, then demand adherence to certain guidelines in order for the States to receive back their sheckles. Pretty cool way to exert extra/constitutional powers on the States. They do that in a whole lot of ways. Federal Sheckles, rifled from the residents of the States are used to bludgeon the States into submission.

We've seen the BATF Gestapo in action before, backed by the likes of Erik Holder (Janet Reno's houseboy) and a libtard prezident.

Then wait to see if any silly rodents become pests.
I had a run in with a rodent once.
Once.
:-)
THIS is for you.
I would say that Dishonest Abe Lincoln & Reconstruction had something to do w/ it. The Progressive Era of the late 19th & early 20th centuries can't be forgotten, though.
"I didn't see nuthin'."
ATFE. Don’t forget Explosives.
Ping.
If the Fedgov allows the various anti ATF state laws to stand, then the authority of the Fedgov is at an end.
They will destroy the first target they can. So do not buy a non ATF compliant firearm, no matter what the state law says.
You'd have to call it something else. Treason is specifically defined in the Constitution, and that's not it.
Otherwise, sounds good to me.
States don't have rights, only powers. People, and only people, have rights. But, otherwise, I agree. They act as if the "interstate commerce clause" negates the 10th amendment, even though amendment trump the main body of the Constitution, or earlier amendments, if there is a conflict. Not that there is. "Interstate commerce means buying, selling and shipping accross state lines. Nothing more. Manufacturing, growing, mining, etc, even for sale and shipment out of state, does not.
Tennessee ping.
another brick in the road to rebellion
“teach your children well”
not like CSN would have envisioned..lol
Defund the ATF. End the drug war.
Yea, one like this.
Much more effective against marauding revenuers than that little ole Barret.
Teach them like in the movie The Patriot: “Aim small, miss small.”
next it'll be the Blackwater Rod & GunClub...
he should make a pintle mount for it.
10th Amendment-
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
17th Amendment-
“The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote. The electors in each State shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the State legislatures.
When vacancies happen in the representation of any State in the Senate, the executive authority of such State shall issue writs of election to fill such vacancies: Provided, That the legislature of any State may empower the executive thereof to make temporary appointments until the people fill the vacancies by election as the legislature may direct.
This amendment shall not be so construed as to affect the election or term of any Senator chosen before it becomes valid as part of the Constitution.”
(-note- nothing in the 17th amendment restricts the authority of the states vs the Federal Government.)

What is difficult to understand?
Just because we have allowed the Federal Government to exceed their authority, does not make it constitutional.
The solution is to decentralize government and re-assert our rights as Citizens. We are not a dictatorship yet.
—
I have an idea of how to change the balance. Have Congress and the Senate “tele commute” and live in their district.
AMENDMENT XX
Passed by Congress March 2, 1932. Ratified January 23, 1933.
Note: Article I, section 4, of the Constitution was modified by section 2 of this amendment. In addition, a portion of the 12th amendment was superseded by section 3.
Section 2.
The Congress shall assemble at least once in every year, and such meeting shall begin at noon on the 3d day of January, unless they shall by law appoint a different day.
—
The law only requires that they meet 1 time per year. There is no reason for them to be in DC full time. No reason with todays technology.
We had a governor who tried to go up against a bunch of gun toting Tennesseans once upon a time. The troops he sent showed up came and their commanding officer was promptly captured. This is about states rights as well as individual rights. Some federal agencies who believe they have authority to make up laws as they see fit need to be dis-banned shut down.
It even fits the "crime" the BATFE is insisting on perpetrating.
Travis,
if you are keeping the cw2 ping list,
please add me to it.
thanks in advance.
repeal
They have one for it.
And they go one better, it can be hooked up to CROWS, the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station. So you can keep the vast majority of your body parts under cover.
Let's take this to the next level.
Ping.
So what is Tennesse going to do about this: Sue the Feds..Arrest their agents. Becuase I’d like to see them act soon, and for us to get rid of Fedzilla!
Travis, how did I miss being on your CW2 list? Please add me, sir.
