Next on Senate agenda? 'Pedophile Protection Act'
WorldNetDaily ^ | May 04, 2009 | Bob Unruh

The leader of a pro-family organization says families across the nation need to contact their U.S. senators now to try to derail a legislative plan that already has passed the U.S. House and is being awaited by President Obama – after a Democrat confirmed it would protect "all 547 forms of sexual deviancy or 'paraphilias' listed by the American Psychiatric Association."

WND columnist Janet Porter, who also heads the Faith2Action Christian ministry, today cited S. 909, dubbed the "Pedophile Protection Act," as an extreme danger to America.

As H.R. 1913, the House version of the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act bill, the plan was adopted on a 249-175 vote, but not before several amendments were proposed by Republicans trying to mitigate the impact of the law.

What the hell is going on here in this country and on Free-Republic?

Some of the most dangerous Emergency Alert and disgusting bills are being introduced and they're getting little if any real mention in Freeperland.

Yet, when I hit the browse button I'm hit with such interesting and (I guess) liberty threatening threads such as;

"Is Oprah's reign slipping? 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' suffers ratings dip"

"Computed: The world's most beautiful woman"

"Sugar Substitutes: Healthy or Deadly?"

A real threat to our liberty to say the least.

Good is being called evil, and evil is being called good.

Point well taken. I wonder about some of those posts, too. I think it is trolls who are trying to waste Mr. Thompson’s (sic) electrons.

The bill has washed up in the Senate Judiciary Committee, which has been otherwise occupied recently. I think J. Committee members should be the first ones contacted with comments and suggestions.

The Oprah thing I can understand as she does shape "some" women's opinions. The other that you mention is a health thing.

Bottom line is there is room on FR for all subjects. If you believe that something is missed, then post it.

And boy do I agree with that. Not that I’m virtually no fun at all but geeesh, who cares about this stuff when we are up to our arse in alligators?

On this POS legislation ...WHY? Why does anybody want to do this and how can any person with children who has a shred of moralaty in him or her support this.

WHY?

Where is the politician with the guts to stand up and declare “Obama and the Democrats are the Party of Perversion!” ???

Gay Week, Transgender Month ... indeed.

When will we begin to call things, out loud, VERY loudly, as they are?

Well. I learn something new every day. 547 forms of sexual deviancy.

And how many Senators and Congressmen are there?

that would be in the bible, I think the book of revelations. Good and evil are reversed, and we are so screwed.

I agree. I think most freepers can multi-task. And what with the state of the world, we need a litle comic-relief to keep our spirits up.

The majority of bills and resolutions never make it out of committee. [Last Updated: Jul 13, 2009 6:09AM]............

Sometimes the text of one bill or resolution is incorporated into another, and in those cases the original bill or resolution, as it would appear here, would seem to be abandoned.

What the hell is going on here in this country and on Free-Republic?

Too many people took their liberty for granted and sat arounbd and did nothing. Even a whole lot of FReepers excused their indifferent laziness with the assertion that "they're all corrupt" and didn't do a thing, not volunteering for campaigns, not writing checks, in some cases not even bothering to vote.

They preferred playing with their toy cars, guns and boats. Now they get exactly what they so richly deserve -- the tyranny they allowed to grow in their midst, unhindered.

America -- a great idea, didn't last.

The situation has been well covered in FR.

I've certainly complained to my Representative and both Senators, but alas, my Representative is big gumbahs with another guy who takes campaign donations from AlQaida (a really big issue if you get my drift), AND one of my Senators is pro-pedophilia Jim Webb, and the other one, Mark Warner, is among the bottom 10 intellectually speaking in the Senate.

So, what more can I do with those three pukes?

They either favor pedophiles, or they're too stupid to understand, or they're anti-American in the extreme.

Do I not have things straight? (No pun is intended.) I thought that Harry Reid attached S. 909 to the Defense Authorization Act as an amendment. Now senators will have to choose to vote either for both or against both.

There’s room on FR for all kinds of posts. Instead of complaining about what others are posting, post what you want, and then avoid those threads you view as a waste of time.

I hear what you're saying. Best counter to all the fluff is to work harder to post and comment well. For example, I signed up for Google alerts related to Honduras. I am surprised when a new story comes up and it's not already posted.

Time was, it was a race to get a solid news story posted.

 "Bottom line is there is room on FR for all subjects. If you believe that something is missed, then post it."

”There’s room on FR for all kinds of posts. Instead of complaining about what others are posting, post what you want, and then avoid those threads you view as a waste of time.“

I’m not complaining per say. I’m just amazed and saddened.

Clint Williams in post # 15 (and a few others) understand what I’m getting at. Why can’t you and others.
Americans and an unfortunately a lot of Freepers have turned into (with a twist) the three monkeys. Refuse to hear the evil, refuse to see the evil and most of all, refuse to speak out against the evil.

”The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

What I don’t understand is since this bill and S1261 are one of, if not the biggest threats to our liberty ever to come down the pike in the last 80 or so years and yet here in Free-Republic its being treated like nothing.

The Michael Jackson BS is getting more bandwidth then this. Absolutely incredible.

What isn’t FreeRepublic being inundated with more Freepers going after these bills with a vengeance. No, Freeperland is getting bombarded with crap about Michael Jackson, Oprah and other non-liberty threatening claptrap.

The future is so easy to predict here. So many can’t (or refuse) to see it.
When true American patriots (not pseudo patriots) become criminals, the chip implant becomes law, so many are gonna say those immortal words, “somebody should’ve done something.”

”When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

Then they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
I did not protest;
I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out;
I was not a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out for me.”

Martin Niemöller

“The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference.”

Ellie wiesel.

Before the NAZI regime became the horror it eventually did become, so many refused to see what was to take place as it was taking place before their very eyes. Complacency is most likely what brought about every tyrannical action against the populace.

“How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think.”

Adolf Hitler

Martin Niemöller was a German pastor and theologian born in Lippstadt, Germany, in 1892. Niemöller was an anti-Communist and supported Hitler's rise to power at first. But when Hitler insisted on the supremacy of the state over religion, Niemöller became disillusioned. He became the leader of a group of German clergymen opposed to Hitler. Unlike Niemöller, they gave in to the Nazis' threats. Hitler personally detested Niemöller and had him arrested and eventually confined in the Sachsenhausen and Dachau concentration camps. Niemöller was released in 1945 by the Allies. He continued his career in Germany as a clergyman and as a leading voice of penance and reconciliation for the German people after World War II. His poem is well-known, frequently quoted, and is a popular model for describing the dangers of political apathy, as it often begins with specific and targeted fear and hatred which soon escalates out of control.

I don’t know about what others may believe but, I see the repeat of history all over again.

Why do we the people behave so apathetically in the face of all these abominable crimes, crimes so unworthy of the human race? Is it because we’ve become so comfortable in our gilded cages? We the people slumber on in our dull, stupid sleep and encourage these fascist criminals.

Why do we allow these people who are in power to rob us step by step, openly and in secret, of one domain of our rights after another, until one day nothing, nothing at all will be left but a mechanized STATE system presided over by constitution hating anti-American socialists?

[The American people] must evidence not only sympathy; no, much more: a sense of complicity in guilt. For through our apathetic behavior we have given these evil men the opportunity to act as they do.

Our grandparents, our parents and ourselves are to blame for the fact that it came about at all! We constantly vote for the same ole, same ole, year after year after year. We keep expecting different results each and every time. we keep hearing how taxes will go down, yet taxes have been going up and up and up.
Each of us wants to be exonerated ....But we cannot be exonerated; we are all guilty, guilty, guilty!

Now is the time to recognized [the Republicrats] for what they are, it must be the sole and first duty, the holiest duty of every true patriotic American to destroy these beasts.

“From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage."

Is our spirit already so crushed by abuse that we forget it is our right - or rather, our moral duty - to eliminate this system?

Every convinced opponent of Socialism must ask himself how he can fight against the present "STATE" in the most effective way?

Simple stop wasting your vote year and year after year on a republicrat.

Vote for the ONLY party that will uphold the Constitution for the United States as our forefathers intended.

Constitution Party

"The deterioration of every government begins with the decay of the principles on which it was founded."

French political philosopher C. L. De Montesquieu (1689-1755)

 For those who (ignorantly) believe the STATE can run our life and the life of others better then they or we can, all I have to say is this;

“If you love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

Sam Adams

I absolutely understand what you are getting at. But unfortunately, our entire culture has been "shallowed". Look at what shows are the most popular. Look at the movies people see. Look at what Americans spend their money on.

I'm not amazed by the shallowness of humanity any longer. Saddened by it, yes, but not amazed.

I guess I was still hoping it hadn't gotten that far yet.

I guess I'll keep on learning, keep attempting to teach others, beseech YaHWeH to help others learn as well. However I'll also keep preparing for the worst.

Always hope for the best but, prepare for the worse.
