Here is our recourse as declared by our Founding Fathers:

It cannot be denied that the central government has become destructive of our unalienable rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness and our rights to live free. The government is no longer responsive to we the People. They have stretched and shredded the constitution to the point that they have illegally seized for themselves virtually unlimited powers over the citizens and act as if we have no rights and no powers of our own. They are acting without our consent.
Our Founders established that when our government becomes destructive of our rights then it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
We have reached the point where the government's long train of abuses and usurpations has achieved absolute Despotism, therefore it is our right, it is our duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for our future security.
Therefore, We the People of America choose to exercise our right to throw off and alter the abusive government by peacefully recalling and removing from office the President of the United States, the Vice President of the United States and all U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives effective immediately.
An interim provisional Chief Executive and congressional representatives will be established as follows:
The Secretary of State shall immediately assume the office of interim Chief Executive. The Chief Executive shall appoint and the interim Senate shall confirm an interim Vice President.
An immediate election shall be held within each state legislature to appoint two interim senators to represent each sovereign state.
A special election shall be held by all states within 30 days to elect interim members of the House of Representatives.
Elections for regular government offices shall be conducted in November, 2010 as previously scheduled, except that elections will be held for all elective offices, including President, Vice President and all U.S. Representatives. U.S. Senators will be elected per class schedule by the various state legislatures.
We alter the government to provide new Guards for our future security as follows:
The Constitution of the United States must be kept intact and must be adhered to and strictly followed by all government entities as originally intended. The government has stretched the constitutional limits well beyond those intended by our founders. We must take steps to ensure that this is corrected and that the out of control government is reined in and that sufficient measures are introduced to maintain the limits, checks and balances on government and that government powers are strictly limited to those enumerated in the constitution and that our rights are reestablished, reaffirmed, re-secured and safeguarded. We must restore and reestablish the sovereignty of the people and the states and restore the constitutional balances between the central government, the various states and we the people. The constitution severely restricts government powers and guarantees unalienable freedom and Liberty to the people.
As we restore constitutionally limited government several wrongs must be righted:
The central government has illegally expanded its powers. They've done this by ignoring or stretching their constitutional limits. They have usurped powers limited to the states and the people. We must reestablish and reaffirm the enumerated powers and limit the central government strictly to just those powers. They've built huge power bases by allowing senators and representatives to be full time professional career positions. We eliminate this by establishing strict qualifications for office and term limits.
We must reestablish and reaffirm the powers to the states and the people as defined by the 9th and 10th amendments.
The central government has denied the states their constitutionally guaranteed republican form of government by introducing the 17th amendment which alters the way the senators which were to represent the sovereign interests of the various states to the central government. We must reestablish that representation by repealing the 17th amendment and allowing the state legislatures of the various states to elect their own senators as intended by our founders. This was never intended to be a function of the people. We the People are represented to the central government by our elected representatives in the House of Representatives. The sovereign states were to be represented by the state's senators to keep central powers and encroachment in check. Power is from the people to the states, and from the states to the central government. They've turned this upside down and inside out. We must correct it.
We hereby repeal the 17th amendment.
The central government has expanded well beyond the limits established for it by the founders and pay for that expansion by directly taxing the people and severely restricting our rights through an enslaving income tax.
We hereby repeal the 16th amendment.
The IRS and all sub departments and agencies are hereby dissolved, disbanded and closed.
The newly elected congress will establish rules and schedules for assessing and collecting fees, tariffs and excise taxes to support the armed forces and all constitutionally authorized departments of The United States Government per the Constitution of the United States (see schedule).
The central government is hereby stripped of all illegal powers and all departments and agencies not authorized by the constitution are hereby dissolved and disbanded. Their current budgets are hereby withdrawn. All disbanded department funds and liquid assets are to be immediately returned to the US Treasury. A list and methods for achieving this is provided in schedule xxx.
Ownership and responsibility for all federally held buildings, lands, parks, waterways, oceans, seas, etc, other than those in Washington, D.C. or military bases, forts, reservations, or local federal buildings owned by valid constitutional federal departments (see schedule) are hereby transferred to the sovereign state governments within which they reside or are located.
Responsibility for all natural resources found within any of the various states or within lands, oceans, lakes, rivers, waterways, seas out through our international boundary limits are hereby returned to the various states. All laws for mining, drilling, logging, or otherwise capitalizing on any minerals or natural resources are to be determined by the various states within which said resources are found.
The social security system is hereby dissolved, disbanded and closed. All social security funds being held by the federal government are to be returned to the private retirement accounts of the individuals owning them. A special fund will be establish for all current recipients and new recipients according to schedule xxy and the social security system shall be phased out accordingly. The funds to support current social security benefits shall become the responsibility of the states within which the recipients reside.
No revenues accruing to the federal government shall be disbursed to any state, city or local government for any reason whatsoever. Or used to subsidize or benefit any government or private entity, organization or person, other than those explicitly authorized and enumerated in the constitution.
All states are hereby solely responsible for any and all revenues or funds required to operate their sovereign states. The central government is not obligated to and shall not interfere in state government or local affairs.
The interstate commerce clause shall be applied strictly to regulating interstate commerce as originally established and intended by our founders. No stretches or reinterpretations of any kind shall be allowed.
Our first unalienable right is the right to life. Protecting Life and Liberty shall be of paramount importance to our central government. Roe v Wade and all congressional acts, regulations, court opinions allowing legalized abortion or the taking of innocent human life are hereby rescinded, overruled, repealed, nullified and voided. Life is fully protected by the U.S. Government.
The Federal Reserve.
Border security.
Medicare.
FAA, FDA, FCC, various federal ABC departments agencies and agencies. Which to close, which to remake with constitutional limits and authority, etc.
Federal Pensions.
Etc, etc, etc.
Need lots of help with this document, folks. Please chime in. Would love to see a committee formed of members of every state to complete and finalize it. Then we should form and send delegates to a special national congress to work out the kinks and plan its presentation and execution.
This concept is an entirely peaceful altering of our despotic government per our unalienable right and duty. No where do I call for violence. The only force I call for is the force of numbers. We need millions of our citizens to sign on to this petition and execute its provisions. Will require millions to march on D.C. to block the government's ability to do business as usual. This is our right and duty as Americans.

But as for the flow of rights, its reversal is in fact the most basic problem here.
So the message should be the bullet points you mention which illustrate, in the most concise form possible, specific ways the government has reversed this most basic principle. Put forth in a way that makes it real and stirs emotions.
Problem is, enough people really have to be angry and this doesn’t tend to happen until they really know and feel the threat to life and liberty.
The problem is our government, WH and Congress and “Regulators” have been corrupted by elite wealthy oligarchs money. Once in Congress it is difficult to replace them, and the longer they are in Congress the more corrupt they get. The oligarchs want to destroy the lower and middle classes and enrich themselves with our tax dollars. Why aren’t the banksters in jail or under indictment? They are in bed with .gov and .gov will not bite the hand that feeds them.
Boycott all TARP Banks, pay off your credit cards, limit purchases to necessities, reduce your income tax by earning less, starve the beast( .gov and its master (BANKS).

So are you proposing to sit down and refuse to disperse? I have not problem with that - we have to cause a peaceful ruckus. Because Congress needs to feel - somehow - the threat of continued demonstrations. Otherwise, the will continue to ignore us and will destroy the USA.
That's where you're wrong. The majority IS with is. Look at the latest Rasmussen polls, Obama's "strongly support" numbers are down to the low thirty's. The "strongly oppose" are in the high thirty/low forties range AND CLIMBING. He's at a -8 approval rating and that gap widens with each passing week.
The majority IS with us. So many are sitting on the sidelines waiting for someone ELSE to start the revolution. I believe it in my heart of hearts that this country is yearning for the revolution. We witness what's happening in Iran as the protests and demonstrations continue to this day (even though our own media will no longer show it) and Honduras, knowing that the American's who OPPOSE OBAMA sit by wondering when our time is coming.
Our time is NOW.
We owe it to ourselves, our children and indeed the world to show them that WE own the Government, not the other way around.

The point is that the politicians in Washington will hear us roar, in numbers too big to ignore. FR isn't the only web site advocating a march on Washington. September 12, 2009 - mark your calander.
I dont think were out of time. But I also feel like theres complete disarray on one side while the other side has a majority and the media in cahoots with them. But I sense that people ARE waking up to the realities of what has happened in a really short time.
We're very nearly out of time. People are waking up - there were around 1 million participants in the nationwide tea parties on April 15, and the talk at most concerned the enormous unconstitutional power grab that is now taking place. And these people were not all republicans - we had democrats, libertarians, and other independent people (like me) at our event. And the sentiment was almost universal - the federal government is out of control. It is spending money it does not have. It is bankrupting our children. It is regulating freedom out of existence. It is advocating theft from the earners to buy votes from the deadbeats (an old trend, but it's accelerated drastically since the commie stepped into the White House).
The anger is unprecedented, and it needs to be put to use. Peacefully, if possible.
I guess theres a tendency for people to say, whatever Jim wants, they are with him and just shut up and cheerlead.
Feel free to submit any viable ideas - I don't cheerlead, and I don't think that most here do. Being in agreement with somebody is far different from being labelled a 'cheerleader'.
I DO cheerlead the idea of us low-level terrorists doing something while we can, but the specifics have to be clearly laid-out. Also, is this meant to be a group of concerned Americans whose views are conservative, or an armed group of people who are the FURTHEST right?
Low level terrorists? Where did THAT come from? Has somebody advocated taking down airliners or storming city hall? No, I doubt it. And if they did, their post would be removed swiftly. You seem to have a mind to categorize armed people as some sort of extremist group - nothing could be farther from the truth. I'm conservative, I'm armed, and I know a little about the constitution. Just like millions of other people in this country.
I also know the purpose of the second amendment, and I'm not shy about admitting that. If that strikes you as being a low-level terrorist, then I would have to wonder if you're in favor of maintaining and restoring our freedoms or if you believe, as the left and RINO's do, that the state is superior to the individual.
In short, what are the specific reasons people should join this protest?
A growing problem in this country, which started long before Obambi took office, has been the tendency of our elected REPRESENTATIVES (not leaders) to ignore the will of those that elect them, and to ignore the specific language of the Constitution of the United States. This tendency accelerated over the last year or two as the politicians become bolder and bolder at imposing their will on the very people that put them in office.
Since Obambi and the democrats have taken control of the government, our voices have been totally ignored as the political/media machine has assumed dictatorial control of this country. Looking back at the first two amnesty attempts when Republicans were in charge, it was apparent that they wanted to ignore us but were overwhelmed by the strong dissent to their activities. No more - the democrats have chosen to refuse to listen.
For those reasons, we, the people need to show strength. We need to put up a strong message, and we need to put up huge numbers. We need to overwhelm Washington so strongly that they cannot ignore us any more.
Our local tea party was a powerful, motivating event for me and the 3000 others that chose to attend. We had inspirational speakers and an enthusiastic crowd. If we can duplicate that on a grand scale in Washington, the hard left will have to realize that they have made a grave error in underestimating the reaction of the American people to their attempted coup.
It's time to act en masse. Either that, or things will have to get really ugly to save this republic.

But I have to tell you, my frustration level with this illegal, corrupt Government that daily seizes more and more power Un-Constitutionally usurping States rights and our own personal freedoms really has me thinking that we're at the end of our ropes, and that nothing short of a full-on Revolution is going to stop the trajectory this country is now on.

I believe they know it, too. I heard Obama’s message yesterday that we needed to not argue and bicker over this legislation (health care) but pass it now or we might not get another chance for generations.

I think we should try non-violence first. How about a revolutionary fife and drum march of knee sock, powdered wig patriots, followed by a Mohatmed Ghandi stand in, wearing a diaper and carrying a walking stick. Then the Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln and John Kennedy dopplegangers follow on.
That should have some theatric moral force. Remember whatever is done, should be eye candy for the evening news.

I came to this thread late and haven’t read every single word. This may have been suggested-—cut off every pension for every senator and representative. This will effectively term limit them. They won’t serve if they are not building lucrative retirement accounts.

AGREED! There were people with signs that said different things. One at our protest was on plexi-glass and said in orange letters, “Where’s your transparency Obama?” There were a LOT of different things on signs, but the overwhelming concern was that government is overreaching.
Then, you had the fact that they were called tea-parties. And the media took it and ran. Because Obama’s not raising taxes. (wink) And “Why didn’t these guys protest taxes under other presidents?”
So, that’s why instead of just cheerleading, I think that if we are going to organize and march and even engage in civil disobedience, there has to be a clear statement and notion of the things we are rallying around.
If we’re all to be on the same page, we need the page.

When we face prosecution and imprisonment for speaking out about the government’s treachery and/or the forceable taking away of our guns, that will be the moment when violent force on our part becomes necessary.
Although we are quickly approaching a time when free speech and the right to bear arms are illegal, we haven’t yet reached that time. Peaceful but forceful action can still be taken.

That puts it in perspective. I remember the DHS report - it was right before the tea parties as you mentioned, and it was mentioned by more than one of our great speakers.
I agree that we need a common, strong message. Not just from FR, but from all the various groups that are attending. Our Tea Party organizers are setting up busses and hotel rooms for us, and I'm certain that other community tea party groups are doing the same. FR is also on the bandwagon.
I believe that we all have a great deal in common, though perhaps with a bit different dialect. Most everybody is ticked off about the same things. There needs to be (if there isn't already) a national or overseeing group that will align the purposes so that they all resemble the common goal. Variations are acceptable, and perhaps encouraged, but the direction has to be common.
At great risk of starting a flame war, I would nominate Sarah Palin for that role. Seriously! The hard left doesn't like her. The RINO establishment doesn't really like her. The big government establishment doesn't like her. But many, many conservatives, libertarians, and other working people do like her. Anybody that believes in freedom likes her.
