I don't think we can afford to wait until 2016. What say you?

I say we support Sarah Palin fully and abide by her decision in regards to a 2012 run. There is no doubt that she is destined to be POTUS.

* * *

Ideally, 2016 would make sense, but we don’t have time on our side now. Homey the Clown and his radical schmucks are moving the country away from our values and destroying the middle class as fast as they can.

We are in a civil war for the future of the country. The statists are trying to eliminate individual liberties and control the citizens.

Unfortunately, with Acorn and its increased subsidies and power, we may not even see free and honest elections in 2010 and 2016.

Time is of the essence.

Agreed 100% If she takes seven years to become "educated" and "sophisticated" enough to please the RINO/Noonan/Brooks crowd, then I think she will miss the boat and her biggest opportunity to defeat Obama. It will simply be too late in 2016.

Moreover, I have a sneaky suspicion that all of this advice for her to wait until 2016 is not necessarily being made with her best interests at heart, but to try and put her on the back-burner in the hope that some other candidate more acceptable to East Coast RINOs (i.e. Romney) will somehow pull it off in 2012 and consign her to the dustbin of GOP history. That can only happen if they talk her into waiting.

The electorate, or, more exactly the People of the United States, is sovereign in this land and must be overcome to do what the Left wants.

But right now, the sovereign is like King Theoden of Rohan, with the entertainment-"news" complex in the role of Grima Wormtongue

Sarah has shown signs that she can break the spell.

For now, that's enough for me.

Mr. Obama was a part-time State Senator, beat Alan Keyes and became a US Senator, started running for the White House after 140 days in office, but GOVERNOR Sarah Palin has to “develop” her “bonafides” before running for president?! She has been a city councilwoman, mayor, chairwoman of the state energy commission, a business owner and is now governor of our largest state, but she’s less qualified than the current resident? An erstwhile ACORN community organizer cum Daley machine hack?! Huh?! Oh, that’s right ... she’s a woman!! [smacks forehead]

I agree with your reasoning 100% but between now an whenever, she just can't sit back, clean house and cook meals. She needs to do something.

I’ll take her now. She can learn on the job and that couldn’t be worse than communist scum destroying the country while on the job. At least she’s got brains and her feet are on the ground - we’ll just muddle through as we always have.

They hate her because to us she is already President, us.

She is us. She represents 'fly-over country'. She may acually be a pretty Reagan.

Reagan was pretty, too.

I used to love watching him on GE Theatre and Death Valley Days.

Obama ran on hope and change and Bush hatred. Obama proved how shallow you can be and still win. Palin has much more depth of knowledge of subjects than Obama.

Reminds me of Ender's Game.

Sometimes you have to push the kids to save the world before they are old enough to really understand what they are doing.

They fear/hate Mrs. Palin because she comes from outside of the Beltway environment. While Jesse Ventura turned out to be a flake, I can remember horrified comments on PBS taking the “the Nazis have entered Paris” tone. If you are not from “their” strata, you are unclean.

I would take a ditch digger with a true heart, love of America and an ability to delegate over any smart mouth pol any day of the week. In any crisis, national or international, too.

“... there are hundreds of brilliant, conservatives she can surround herself with and take advice from. She is the ONLY one out there with that amazing political talent and the courage to be a real conservative. “

Couldn’t agree more. We need a visionary, and I think that’s Sarah. Anyone who watched her run circles around Biden in the debates saw how capable she is when pitted against the entrenched DC crowd. And no one in their right mind could say she’s less qualified than obama. The GOP needs to stop nitpicking their stars and get behind them.

Her appeal in 2008 was largely that her presence was like a room deodorizer masking out much of the McCain stench.

LOL!! Damn, man - do you know how bad it hurts to blow hot coffee out of your nose?

On the other hand, a mother of five, knee-deep in local politics, without money and leisure, is not going to be reading Gibbon for perspective, or spending the afternoon perusing Foreign Affairs.

It still has to be proven to me that Obama has ever done anything other than be an affirmative action student who was escorted carefully through elite schools. The thing he wrote in 83 impressed me as being an expanded Miss America answer about world peace. His off teleprompter performances resemble the babblings of an aphasic. Why then does Sarah Palin have to do anything other than allege that she is a natural born citizen and plant some fake birth certificate on the internet.

Sarah Palin is the real deal. She can rally the people in ways that an Obama can only dream about. She inspires people to do their best. People I have spoken with say they would take a bullet for Sarah. She is the future of the right wing. With in the GOP or Without she will be a force to contend with. I would love to see her in the Senate but she is all that Pat Bucannan promised but was not. She could lead the reforms that we need or—she might be a bit like John the Baptist, making the way for the next leader to save the nation.
