The Pope and the cardinals of the Vatican help organize tours of Auschwitz for Hezbollah members to teach them how to wipe out Jews, according to a booklet being distributed to Israel Defense Forces soldiers.
Officials encouraging the booklet's distribution include senior officers, such as Lt. Col. Tamir Shalom, the commander of the Nahshon Battalion of the Kfir Brigade.

The IDF Spokesman's Office said in a statement: "The book was received as a donation and distributed in good faith to the soldiers. After we were alerted to the sensitivity of its content, distribution was immediately halted."
Does the IDF want us to bomb the Vatican or Iran first?

The booklet was published by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, in cooperation with the chief rabbi of Safed, Rabbi Shmuel Eliahu, and has been distributed for the past few months.
The guys who print and distribute it are responsible. Not some Arab dude used as "source".
The best defense the IDF could come up with is that they are too sloppy to check the material they distribute.

The pamphlet isn’t distributed by the IDF, even the article explains that. So if some fringe group makes a pamphlet, Ha’aretz needs to report it?

They do exist. How representative they are of Orthodox Judaism I do not know. I have a hard time believing they approved the content. I'll wait to see if they issue a statement before believing any of this.
If the Church was conducting these tours to show the legitimacy of the Shoah to skeptical Muslims, then it's hard to believe that the Jewish people would concoct such a take on it.
The expression “teaching your grandmother to suck eggs” comes to mind.

I’m no big fan of Catholicism, but I don’t believe they’ve been out to massacre Jews wholesale for a LONG LONG time. The Vatican isn’t stupid — they know who their friends are — and who their enemies are.
