Wow what happened to Little Green Footballs? That guy went nuts. Was he bought off by the Saudis like Ariana was?
I tried to post something their a yea ago before he went bonkers and it was a decent web site. He does a good job at supressing free speech in his LGF forums.
Anyway, to try and denigrate the FR site is so totally useless. What do they think will happen? Do they think the FReepers will fade away, along with the site? Do they think someone will shut us down? They're efforts are a waste of time. Actually counter-productive, because more people will visit here, and realize that this is a place where sensibility pervails. They will discover more interesting news articles, more truths, more logical discussions than on any blog that is full of distasteful dialog.
What I dislike most about this kind of liberals that have to attack individuals with opposing points of view is that you cannot argue issues or present them with facts. Their immediate response is just to call names or use vulgar language, or issue threats. They have no substance to their arguments or comments against conservatives. They just become vile and sarcastic, and think they are being funny.
That's why I think it is important that we never resort to their lowly tactics. We are above the childish acts of throwing verbal tantrums like they do when they can't intelligently discuss things. So I think we shouldn't join in the fray in an ignorant manner, but keep telling them that until they can respectfully state their opinions without name calling, slander, and four-letter words, they have no value in an adult dialog.
As for my part, although I am disabled and on a fixed income, this time I am making a monthly pledge. You can thank a liberal with a foul-mouth for that, Freepers!!! Go FreeRepublic!

Some people are nostalgic for when Little Green Footballs was like before Charles Johnson and Kilgore Trout went crazy about creationism and started spouting Leftist nonsense such as global warming, so they founded a Little Green Footballs II to counter the utter trash and sea of sycophancy that Little Green Footballs (original) is.
There are a few truths that support your call for a change in leadership.
1. The national deficit clearly indicates a government that is out of control and apparently no longer answerable to anyone.
2. The insulation from prosecution of those currently in our government otherwise guilty of violations for which “normal” citizens would be prosecuted.
3. The imposition of reprehensible practices by court fiat without any input from the people either directly OR even through their elected representatives. Denial of life to millions of infants, our posterity, in direct opposition to the objective of the constitution is but one example of this usurpation of power.
4. The pillaging of the wealth of the nation and the accumulation of lands and businesses by the federal government unto itself.
5. The ongoing imposition of government into the individual lives of Americans to the serious detriment of individual initiative and to the relegation of our people to the status of “virtual serfdom.” Welfare is an early and ongoing example and the current push toward government-directed health care is the latest grab for power.
These are just a few example of serious infractions by our federal government and indication that the government needs to be changed.
What remains is the finding of a real means to effect the necessary change. It is possible that another “soldier’s march” on Washington could accomplish some things.

In the eyes of the left Jim a lot of us are well past the hanging stage, They want to draw and quarter.
That's the patriotic spirit!
Today, they would have to first pay for an environmental impact study and change the flag out for one that’s more inclusive.
Oh, and make sure all minorities were represented in the scene.
