UPDATED: After some hesitation and a time shift, three major broadcast networks have agreed to carry Barack Obama's latest primetime news conference.
The event was announced Friday afternoon as Obama battles to bolster congressional support for an ambitious health-care overhaul while facing dropping approval ratings.
But broadcasters are struggling with falling approval ratings of their own; Nielsen's audience measurements show viewership in a summertime slump.

I am actually feeling optomistic again. I don’t think Obama is going to get his Obamacare through and I think Cap and Trade is going to die a quick death in the Senate.
Obama is coming undone. He is snaping at people in his Town Hall meetings. He looks pissed off all the time. He is showing his true colors. When ObamaCare dies and Cap and Trade dies he is going to look real bad and his stil 50 some odd percent ratings will fall well below 50%.
It’s going to be fun to wath Obama crash and burn. To top it off, I have hope that he’ll be proven to be a Kenyan and will be taken from office in hand cuffs. Yeah, I know that means Plugs Biden becomes POTUS, but he’ll have no political capital and will be a lame duck.
Now, the Republicans just need to get in line, give America a true Conservative alternative to this madness and the left wing will sent to their rightful place, to quote Ronald Reagan, in the ashheap of history.

One of the gifts I’m going to give is one of those Obama Commemorative Plates they’re selling at Walgreens...The winner gets to take the plate and break it any way they see fit! Doesn’t that sound like fun???

Yes, but the Senate on Friday approved the attachment of the "Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Bill" to the $650 billion Defense Authorization Bill. This is almost word-for-word the law which Canada has used to arrest and imprison pastors who preached against homosexuality, and to bar parents from schools where they protested the enaction of homosexual curriculum
NO ONE on FR is talking about it. AND IT PASSED!!! Now the bill goes to conference. Unless religious Americans, and all American parents concerned for their children in schools stand up and stop this bill, it will become law within a month.

I live inside the city limits of a medium-sized city. There are five broadcast TV stations. With an indoor antenna, I can receive station A on some days, and station B on other days, and rarely can I receive two stations on the same day. Stations C, D, and E might as well not be on the air.
This is since the Digital Revolution.
I wonder if the Digital Revolution has much to do with the collapsing ratings of the dinosaur networks?
