Hence the txtng styl.
Try to get goverment-ese down to 140 characters to make a point...even less when you have to provide page number and line number.

I take it you don’t twitter? Fleckman was posting his reading of the bill page by page on Twitter, you are limited to the # of characters..... personally I think the message is more important than how it is delivered.
Twitter limits the number of characters in a tweet. Hence the use of the abbreviations. Concentrate on the information in the post and don’t worry about the text. It’s kind of like remarking on the use of Morse code for emergency messages and how silly it sounds when you’re standing on the deck of the Titanic.
It’s posted on Twitter, which has a character limit for each message. I don’t like text speak either, but I’ll make an exception in this case.
Meanwhile, what he’s writing is absolutely terrifying to read, so frankly I don’t care if it’s in text speak.
