Little Green Footballs ^ | 7-21-09 | Little Green Footballs

An idiot from a “9/11 Truth” group cornered Ron Paul recently and asked why he hasn’t “come out about the truth about 9/11.”

Paul’s answer: he has too much to do, and he can’t handle the controversy....

He has stated NUMEROUS TIMES that there should be another investigation into 9/11.

That doesn't necessarily make him a Truther. I don't think the government was behind 9/11 but there are aspects of it that might warrant further investigation. Things like intelligence failures leading up to the event, connections to other terrorist activities, flaws in our immediate response, etc.

I have seen his bunch give out flyers for 9/11 Truther flims many times.

Paul is a total loon

Ron Paul excused Al-Qaeda’s attacks on America: In the single most repulsive moment of the entire Presidential race so far, Ron Paul excused Al-Qaeda’s attack on American with this comment about 9/11,
“They attack us because we’ve been over there. We’ve been
bombing Iraq for 10 years.” In other words, America deserved to be attacked by Al-Qaeda.

L Ron Paul blames American interventionism in the Middle East for out problems with them and why the attacks of
Sept. 11. Paul called it blowback

This is the sort of facile comment you’d expect to hear from an America-hating left winger like Michael Moore or Noam Chomsky, not from a Republican

And so Ron Paul has the same beliefs as all of his fans or people who take advantage of events to hand out their literature? What if those beliefs conflict? Does he hold both conflicting views at the same time?

L Ron Paul blames American interventionism in the Middle East for out problems with them and why the attacks of Sept. 11. Paul called it blowback

Do you actually find it impossible to believe that our muzzie?

What if a terrorist came up and told you he was angry about US intervention in the middle east and that's why he was doing what he was doing? Would you tell him he's lying and that he must have some other reason?

The IslamOfascists declared war on us including killing thousands on 9/11

Of course the attacker- enemy IslamOfascists would rather kill than be killed.

You must also blame the Jews for the Nazis.

So you'd tell the terrorist he doesn't know his own motivations? You just dodged the question.

You must also blame the Jews for the Nazis.

There is no comparison. The analogy is nonexistent.

Should be: Do you actually find it impossible to believe that our actions could never piss off some terrorist muzzie?

“They attack us because we’ve been over there. We’ve been bombing Iraq for 10 years.” In other words, America deserved to be attacked by Al-Qaeda.

I disagree with the way you characterize his words. Paul is giving an explanation, not a justification.

Suppose a guy goes walking down a dangerous inner city street at 1:00 a.m., carrying a big sack of quarters. He gets mugged, and then I say "That guy shouldn't have gone through that part of town." I'm not saying that the victim did anything morally wrong, nor that he didn't have a right to keep his money, nor that he shouldn't have the right to walk anywhere he wants at any time.

If I said "he shouldn't have done that" I'm really not making a moral statement at all. I'm just saying that the mugging was fairly predictable given the circumstances and that the victim's behavior was not prudent. My statement would mean that I think the victim "deserved" what happened to him.

You know the traditional Republican position was to just let the muzzies kill each other. ‘

But, oh no, now we have to go spread Wilsonian “Democracy” around the world to every hell hole on earth.

All that does is get us resented as a busybody, impoverish us at home, and give cover to statists that want to increase the size and scope of government to destroy your liberties and further enslave you.

Fools like you cheer along as chains are tighted about you. Fools like you got us Obama. Thanks a lot.

Oops. The last line in post #48 should have been:

My statement would NOT mean that I think the victim "deserved" what happened to him.

Sorry.

You have twisted yourself into a knot defending this fascists.

Then please untangle me. Am I incorrect in saying that an explanation is different than a justification?

And...fascist? How does that label possibly apply to Congressman Paul?

You’re ducking the question again. What are my fascist qualities?

I didn’t ask for your resume.

What do you consider a fascist? There’s a real definition for the word. It’s not just a word that means “you’re someone with whom I disagree”.

This is a new low. Has Charles Johnson no shame whatsoever? Anyone he dislikes he twists and distorts their words, actions and positions.

All during the campaign.

Then there is his strong ties to the king troofer himself alex jones.

And his associations with nuttier than a squirrel turd lew rockwell.

Your heeerow ron paul has insinuated numerous times throughout the campaign that the government was involved, that they used the 9/11 commission to hide the truth, and that we deserved the attacks.

But oh, he’s not a troofer now is he?

Oh, and to give you an inkling of an idea just how much your heerow loves alex jones:

As for the quotes, you can do like I did and look them up since I do not do other people’s homework for them.
