I'm an "evil evolutionist" and I find Charles' obsession with creationists to be really excessive.

"I'm an "evil evolutionist" and I find Charles' obsession with creationists to be really excessive. "

Same boat as you. People (either creationist or evolutionists) shouldn't give a lick which camp presidential aspirants fall into with respect to this issue. The President of the United States, nor the Federal judiciary, shouldn't be setting curriculum standards, locally controlled school board should. That is the conservative position.

De acuerdo. Jindal just needs to polish his presentation skills. Pawlenty is a non-starter.

At this point, I am leaning towards Daniels on competence alone. If I voted strictly on ideology, I would have been a Ron Paul supporter, and even I have misgivings on his foreign policy ideas.

Charles suffers from Christian Derangement Syndrome.

The article said — Like Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and almost every other so-called GOP “frontrunner,” Pawlenty is a creationist, who’s in favor of teaching “intelligent design” creationism to children as science. When the news came out that Sarah Palin had stated she wanted to teach “intelligent design” last year, Pawlenty rushed to agree with her:

Yeah Palin! I’m glad she’s in on the Intelligent Design as opposed to the false theory of evolution... :-)

Of course, since God is “intelligent” I certainly do believe in intelligent design...

I heard that LGF’s site has shifted politically recently.

But ignoring the source, I still present that many believers in a deity believe in some form of Creationism (ignore particulars of any “Creation story” or theory or belief).

If you believe that God created it, God as Creator, you believe in “Creationism”.

If you believe that God evolved from the Big Bang and was surprised as anyone else by life on the planet Earth, then you are advancing a little heard theory.

And there are probably some agnostics with faith who may be unwilling to declare that God created life but are unwilling to say there is no God either (”I know that I cannot know”).

LGF has taken a sharp turn to the left with Charles’ anti-Christian rants. He was a staunch Bush supporter, but quickly jumped on ObamaMessiah wagon.

Is LGF the work of one person or are there a number of people who post the blog articles there?

Most RINOs any longer would rather the GOP be a perpetual minority party than to accept the dominance of social conservatives in the GOP. All while claiming the only way the GOP can win is to denounce social conservatism.

Charles Johnson has really gone off the deep end in terms of his obsession with two things lately—creationism, and right-wing European anti-Islamic parties being “fascists” (which, in fairness, some are). He’s showing what he really is. He’s a social liberal and fiscal “moderate” who’s rightfully concerned about what Islam wants to do to his laid-back anything-goes lifestyle. Problem is, now he’s lumping anybody on what he considers the “fascist right” together with the Islamonazis as enemies.

He’s called out Free Republic and Jim by name several times already. He thinks Robert Spencer (from Jihad Watch) is a “fascist.” He’s in a huge feud with Pamela Geller from Atlas Shrugs and has been for years. Nowadays he saves his worst invective for Obama birth certificate questioners (”nirthers,” he calls them), Ron Paulestinians, FReepers, and Christians.

And worst of all, he’s power-tripping like mad. No dissent is allowed in the LGF lizard echo chamber. I was a lurker over there, a very occasional poster, and I got banhammered about two months back when all I did was just down-rate a couple of thread replies that I disagreed with. It turns out that the thread replies had been up-rated—not posted, just up-rated—by Charles Johnson himself (which I did not realize until AFTER I’d done it). For the unpardonable sin of counteracting CJ’s thumbs-up with my thumbs-down, I got the gate with no explanation whatsoever. The next day, I just couldn’t log in.

I believe that Charles is the only article poster, although most of them are news items from various sources so they aren’t fully original content.

I found that after a couple of very mild comments in favour of creation, I was subjected to foul-mouthed abuse.

I never logged into LGF again and feel all the better for it.

Try it, you’ll like it!

I've never been able to get past the point that jindal is not a natural born citizen, period. End of story, let him get back to exorcisms. And have no intention of ever voting for anyone that does not believe in science.

As I said, I’m an evolutionist. I’d vote for a conservative or right libertarian creationist over a left wing evolutionist any day of the week.

Jindal was born in the U.S. and is a natural born citizen, not a naturalized citizen. Jindal was a U.S. citizen at birth, thus a “natural born” citizen.

I am not a big fan of Jindal (Sarah Palin!), but he IS a natural born citizen according to the law.
