Memo to the millions of American citizens who have managed to qualify for government permits to carry firearms: you are "potential criminals," and you are "a threat to our citizens' safety and well-being," even though you have passed criminal background checks and satisfied state firearms proficiency standards. That according to New Jersey governor Jon Corzine (D), who apparently thinks that the path to re-election later this year is paved by trampling the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

They will always attempt to legislate our constiutional rights away from us rather then just outright attempt to take them. The are very aware of the hornets nest they are poking at. I am convinced our ownership of firearms has prevented them from taking many other rights from us.
And more people are understanding the importance of the 2nd amendment every day and exactly how precious it is.
People who hate the Second Amendment just want to do things to you that they couldn’t if you were armed...

Pull out the Guns and NRA, Abortion, Gay Rights, etc, and wiggle them in front of the facces of the liberal dopes who keep electing them to office , and Democrat voters start to tremble and can’t wait to pull that lever agains the eveil guns, abortion blockers, etc.
But THIS time, I don’t think it is going to work. Corzine has been too much of a horse’s ass on economics.
All the services have the occassional “chickensh*+” member, so that would explain Corzine ~ random flux.

It seems to have worked for any number of NJ pols and COPs. Not sure why that would change now. The voters of NJ seem to agree too.

Corzine is an A$$-HAT. Considering the amount of corruption undertaken by the politicians of his state, the most recent being the huge bust for money laundering & organ selling, it would appear that you don’t need a gun to be a criminal or a threat to the public well being, ya just need to be a politician! He & his ilk are EXACTLY why we have a 2nd ammendment. The time to employ it to it’s intended purpose draws ever closer.
Someone needs to make available the stats for CCW holders who commit crimes.
They would speak volumes, but for somereason, the states do not find it in their interest to release this information.
Cause you know that Criminals always get a background check before they Carry.

This is what happens when people that claim to defend the 2nd amend attempt to compromise with the gun haters.
CCW laws infringe on the right to bear arms as much as any other gun control law.
We need laws that punish people for the criminal use of a gun. Not gun control laws that only law abiding citizens obey.
When was the last time a criminal obeyed a gun control law?
