Notice how none of them are still in office. Which tells me that now that they know there can be no retaliation they can show their true colors.

The Dems will of course use this against us, which makes me sick. If they don’t like McDonnell ok, but to endorse the Democrat is unforgivable.

This is Deeds way of countering the co-founder of BET’s endorsement of McDonnell.

Nope, see Post #13

They're not in office precisely because they already showed their true colors.

Agree, but on balance, I’d rather have Sheila Johnson who would be able to pursuade some black Dems to vote R and neutralize the “Repubs are racists” meme used by Dems. I can’t see any of the former R office holders able to sway that many votes.

Doug Wilder is still not completely sold on Deeds.

Maybe Wilder would just make a non-endorsement for this Governor’s race.

At the end of the day, Doug Wilder only endorses...Doug Wilder.

Still, he’s not fond of Deeds and if he’d decline to endorse that would help. There’s no way he’ll endorse McDonnell.

Yeah, I saw that. But Wilder’s just up to his usual games.

I wonder if the 1,2 punch from S. Johnson and Wilder would have the same effect on Deeds in VA that lack of enthusiasm from black leaders had on Townsend in MD.

With or without Wilder’s endorsement or non-endorsement, Republicans in Virginia only get about 14% of the African American vote. George Allen got about 15%.

But seriously, don’t get your hopes up for a Wilder endorsement. He’ll play the game and in the end will either not endorse or will endorse Deeds.
