Frank To Question Bernanke On Bank Reform

WASHINGTON - Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke is scheduled to join Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on Friday to take questions from House lawmakers about key aspects of the White House's regulatory reform proposal released in June, the central bank said Thursday. House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank, D-Mass., is expected to grill Bernanke and Geithner about the Obama administration's recommendations for a systemic regulator, hedge fund regulation, buyout shop restrictions and limits on executive compensation. The panel will likely consider a White House recommendation to create a mechanism and payment assessment structure for unwinding systemically significant banks, hedge fund managers, private equity managers, in a way to ensure that that their collapse would not cause collateral damage to the markets.

Isn’t that kinda like pot calling the kettle black? I mean, Bahney ‘hurry spend the taxes before the taxpayers find out’, in bed with (and literally) upper management at a lending institution. Sheesh. It’s should be a satirical comedy, but it’s not...
