WASHINGTON Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona, who helped vote down U.S. ratification of a nuclear test ban treaty ten years ago, said he would now consider supporting it.
McCain told The Associated Press that he could support the treaty, a priority of former presidential rival President Barack Obama, if concerns are addressed before another vote.

Maybe, in the end, McCain wouldn't have been much better than Zero (except for our Military). What awful choices we had in 2008! We should close our primaries and not let others choose our candidate. Romney/Palin in 2012?

Is McCain getting (or already is) senile or is he getting (or already have) Alzheimer’s disease?
I voted for him like my life depended on it, but before the election, I told my local Republican org., no more contributions unless the Repubs. toughend up or started really fighting back as dirtly as the Dims do.
Money down a rat hole. What for. No representation.

*shakes head*
The thing that just astounds me here is the underlying premises behind the bill itself - i.e. that this will help achieve a “nuclear-free” world.
Let’s be real here. A test ban by the civilized nations of the world is *not* going to quench the ambitions of rogue states and/or organizations wanting to join the nuclear club. And it’s not likely to convince Russia, China, Israel or any other nuclear power with half a brain to completely eliminate their existing arsenals.

All IMHO, of course. I don’t claim to be an expert on arms control. I just don’t think it’s realistic to expect anything substantial is likely to come of such a measure.

The MSM picked McCain to be the GOP candidate.
Only after Palin came on the ticket did we donate money to the GOP.
Had Palin been at the top of the ticket (without McCain) our donations of money and time would have been dramatically higher.

The stupid SOB is and his “reform” of the campaign laws are a big part of the problem with all elections since then. Why he thinks that being a “moderate” means agreeing with the numskulls rather than them agreeing with the republicans is something that smacks of Stockholm syndrome. They're the current authority figures and he goes along with them. What has he ever fought against the democraps on and why doesn't he just call himself an independent? He's always saying he is independent, so, drop the ‘R’ and leave us alone.
I hope the idiots who thought that by nominating a moderate the republicans could hang on are satisfied with the result. All they did was ensure that the most corrupt gang of thugs to ever control the executive branch (yes, more corrupt than either Clinton or Grant, or any of the others) are now running wild and taking away constitutional rights one after another.
When the time to pay the piper comes, I bet the “moderates” will be cheering from the sidelines again rather than admitting they don't have a clue and should just vote for the most conservative person they can get. There will always be enough fools to try and restrain a conservative, so start off more conservative than you think necessary, not more “centrist”.

I can’t believe you Romneybots. We barely escape McCain, no one wants him, no one, except a few idiots want another RINO to run. Romney runs, we lose again. Palin or nothing at this point in time for me. Maybe another conservative will show up, Michael Bachman springs to mind, but right now Sarah is the only real conservative out there. Romney frickin’ sucks and would be no better in the long run than Bozo.
