Of course Mike Huckabee sets up the segment with negative polls from the Washington Post, the proceeds to let a Democrat Operative make sexual smears of Palin with only a polite rebuttal. Mathew Littman, a Democrat operative who formerly worked for Biden, tells us that Palin should be on a character 'The Real Housewifes of Wisilla' (at about the 48 second mark of the clip). Democrats continue to make vile sexist remarks against Palin, and RINO's give them the microphone to do it. Here we have a former mayor, governor, candidate for VP, and Democrats are essentially calling her some stupid women who belongs barefoot and pregnant at home. I am not sure who to be most upset with, Huckabee for being such a whimpy pawn or Democrats for using such sleezy tactics.
Palin, like Reagan, has to run against this vile hatred from both the left-wing Democrats and establishment Republicans. I kind of doubt O'Reilly would have let that sexist spin go untouched. O'Reilly is not always right, but at least he tries to keep people on issues instead of allowing these type of personal attack.

I saw the interview last night—Huckabee did nothing to stop that a$$wipe Littman. He left it up to the other guest, who was continually interrupted. As an interviewer, if Huckabee doesn’t want to take sides, that’s fine. But he should abruptly shut down a guest whose first comment is a sexist ad hominem attack.

8 years ago Huckabee, then a few hundred pounds heavier, was on Meet the Press along side with John Kerry and Joe Biden. Huckabee let Kerry and Biden run circles around him when debating the first Bush tax cuts.

I saw it too, and was disgusted by it. I’ve never liked Huckabee, but last night his transparent political ambition showed him up for the vile human being he really is. It didn’t look like he would’ve said anything to Littman if the other guest (a Palin supporter) hadn’t objected first. Even then, Huckabee’s objection was extremely tepid. You could almost see his inner president wannabe rubbing his hands together and cackling. It was reprehensible.
A followup show should pit this jerk against Sarah directly...

I agree. Huck was short on allowing more challenge by the conservative guest and he allowed that nitwit Littman to interrupt and laugh at the guest. Exactly. Huckster KNEW exactly what this guy was going to say ahead of time and yet he booked him to do this attack. It was beyond not doing anything to stop or object to the slander. He wanted it to be said. Sarah is competition to him too.

I agree. IMO, good old Huck hasn’t given up completely on his Presidential aspirations. Anything Huck or Mitt can do to take Sarah down - both see her as their only true obstacle.

Something I am noticing on many threads is how observant the the Romneybots are, or in your case a Rudy guy. A lot of it seems to be a campaign against social conservatism.
Giuliani was the strongest CONSERVATIVE candidate we had. However, single issue pseudo-cons felt that it was more important to post pictures of him in a theatrical performance dressed as a woman. I watched the video and it could not have gone better for Governor Palin, Huckabee looked calm and cool and worked in all of her positives with out looking like he forced it which made the democrat look very much over the top and desperate in his hack like demeanor, Carpenter did a very good job as well but she could not deliver as well for Palin as Huckabee did.
I have noticed a lot of Huckabee’s critics are Romneybots, anti-social conservatives and I think that being a Giuliani supporter places you in that crowd and explains your take on the interview.

Huckabee conducted a poor interview last night. His performance, though, in independent of how well Palin came through.

Littman is a tool, for sure. But I was disappointed in Amanda Carpenter for not fighting back. She tried to counter his charges but came off sounding very whiny and weak. She needs to be more forceful in her rebuttals.
