Consider this: President George W. Bush took 18 months to invade Iraq. He had the overwhelming support of Congress. He had 48 nation states behind him. And he had an approval rating in the 70s. Regardless of your views on the war, this, in case weve forgotten, is the way big decisions are made.
President Barack Obama, in contrast, is pushing a controversial healthcare bill through Congress with irrational speed and force, seemingly unconcerned that the American disapproval is shooting up, that budget experts say it will bankrupt us, that lawmakers want more time to tweak or in some cases totally overhaul it, and that it will be foisted upon the country, not by popular vote but by mere political mandate.
And if it takes prime-time addresses, glossy infomercials, some strong-arming tactics, and even a little harmless fear-mongering, hes going to get it done, and quickly.
All of this is unsurprising if you can remember back four interminable months to the political Paleolithic era that saw the first stimulus bill rushed through Congress before most people in Wichita (or on Capitol Hill) had a chance to read it. This despite promises to put major pieces of legislation online for five days so that America had a chance to weigh in.

Also, here's a large image of the Democratic (Obama) Health Plan chart-another Obama empty promise. This is the one the House democrats are censuring. Email these links or the image to everyone you know.

Obama and all those pushing his radical agenda are abject marxist ideologues. Their "fundamental; change" is nothing more than a destruction of the American free market and fundamental republican principle.

It’s Alinsky Socialist Takeover tactics.... rush, rush, crisis, crisis, big lies, big lies, and nobody catches on until it’s too late!!
obama, the weasel!!
People not only need time to read the bill, but need time to take in what it means in the long run. What will happen to all the charities? Shriners? St. Judes? Do burn victims, particularly children have to forego the excellent care sponsored by the Shriners, to settle for rationed care? Chaos will begin the second the Health Care Bill comes into being.

That’s for sure!
Here we have Obama finally floundering like the first days of Spring after a long winter and the writer feels the need to ruin the moment with a comparison to Bush. Bush was a disaster, his demand we invade Iraq immediately to avoid mushroom clouds (as Cheney put it) was a disaster as was Cheneys prediction the iraq oil would pay for recontruction. The road to recovery is around Bush. Bush memories will only help Obama and demoralize many of us.
Yes it did not make sense I see no parallels except this is a monumental disaster of galatical proportions.
What you’re saying is that Bush is the gift that keeps right on giving to The Marxist Onada and his crowd. When an objective analysis of his presidency is published it will not be pretty.
I do not agree with you that attacking Iraq was wrong. I do believe that the decision to fight a minimalist war, despite the Vietnam lesson, was disastrous. It has allowed the Iraq and Afghanistan phase of the WOT to linger far too long and been responsible for far too many unnecessary American soldier casualties.
Going to war in Iraq Afghanistan was never about nukes. It was—and is—about access to oil. Since we continue to refuse to diminish our dependence on foreign oil by drilling at home, we are chained to a continuous cycle of oil crisises. What a waste life and treasure.
