Sunday, about 100 people rallied in front of the mall to support Spivack and his right to free speech.

He opened his Free Market Warrior kiosk last spring, selling such items as “Impeach Obama” bumper stickers and baby bibs that say, “My parents chose life. Thanks Mom and Dad!”

Spivack said he's found other stores in the mall selling T shirts and other merchandise with offensive slogans and feels he's being targeted “purely for politic reasons.”

Since the controversy arose, he said his business has picked up.......

There was an interview with Beck and the store owner said that "Simon properties" is owned by a big Zero donor and this Simon guy owns numerous shopping centers. I say we leave him with just his Zero supporters as customers. See if he can maintain his Zero support with half his customers.

“other merchandise with offensive slogans
I’m curious as to what the “offensive slogans” were.”

I dunno. However, my 58 year old neighbor (female) had a fascinating shirt on over the weekend.

It said, “Don’t Touch the Knobs, They are Already Adjusted”

I know the feeling. They also own a couple of our favorite outlet malls here in Northern California. On the bright side, we'll save gas and put the sales tax revenue into our local merchants, I suppose...

You gotta let managers of anchor stores know of your boycott.

It’s a real uphill battle but if enough folks speak up, a few waves will be felt.

"Big-time RAGE is here..." Yes, and I wish we had one of those conservative kiosks at our mall. We need more 1773 party supplies. RevolutionLadies

Not quite. Depends on the terms in the lease. Any number of businesses (gun shops, for example) will ask for -- any many times get -- terms written into the lease that they are exempt from complaints about the sale of products that are fully lawful to sell in the location in question.

With the huge slump in commercial real estate, I should be VERY surprised if such terms are becoming more and more common. Especially so after this little incident.

Simon Property Group has a website where you can contact them via e-mail and let them know how much business they will be getting in the future.

We have the right to boycott your business when you take a stand we disagree with.

Case closed.

Typo, sorry. Should read ‘’NOT becoming more common’’ instead of ‘’becoming more common’’.

‘Impeach Obama’ bumper stickers spark a shopping mall protest

F’ing media is so shameful. If you glanced at the headline without reading the story, you would assume those who constituted the “protest,” were supportive of Obama. The Headline suggests not only a conflict, but a numerous disparity, and they are trying to set a tone of normal versus undesirable.

The media are the lowest of the low. Scum.

New Hampshire and Mass Freepers...Simon Property owns the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua and the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester. Two locations prime for a boycott!

Figures that we finally move closer to Ontario Mills, and the owners find a reason for us to go to Victoria Gardens instead.
