I think the linchpin of discovering who Barack Obama is lies within his high-school transcript and his college financial aid records.
Some newspapers have a section for announcements of live births, but I am not sure if this is always done automatically by the hospital providing the info tot he paper or the paper requesting it each day or if the family has to decide to announce it and contact the paper.
But has anyone gone to libraries in Hawaiii that have paper of microfilm of newspapers from the time he was born to see if other births were announced, but his was not?
