My NC neighborhood is knee-deep in Muslims from the Middle East. Most are courteous, but I noticed that after 9/11 the Middle Easterners loudly and frequently proclaimed their fear of an American backlash; however, not one of them expressed regret for the tragedy brought upon the U.S. by their fellow Muslims. Our neighbors, like almost all Americans, bore the tragedy quietly, with no unpleasant comments or actions toward our Muslim neighbors.

I wonder why there are concentrations of Muslims in Michigan, North Carolina, Louisiana, and several other areas. It should be noted, too, that many, many of these folks are actively raising money for “charities” in their homelands.

At NCSU, Sami el Arian went blithely about the business of financing terrorist organizations for years. Khalid Sheik Mohamed was a “student” at a North Carolina college before he decided to be a taxi driver in Greensboro, NC, while planning 9/11.

hugely disappointing and puzzling, but I thought this was long overdue. I suspect there are other camps like this and I hope the busts continue.
