WASHINGTON -- Senate Sergeant at Arms Terry Gainer, the top administrative official for the chamber, says that six teenage Senate pages have "turned up with flu-like symptoms," though there is no hard evidence yet that the pages have contracted the H1N1 virus.
Gainer described the symptoms as "mild," including a runny nose and a sore throat. He indicated that there was "no panic" in the Senate.
At this stage, doctors do not test to determine whether it is the H1N1 flu, Gainer said, adding that's consistent with national policy.
Four of the pages are roommates and have been restricted to their dorm room on Capitol Hill. The other two reside in metropolitan Washington and are commuters. Those pages have been advised to stay home.

Did they get to close to Nancy Pelosi or Barney Frank?? Cause I feel sick to my stomach just seeing them on TV..I can’t imagine seeing them in person.....
I narrowly escaped death last week. I had a runny nose, sore throat, and a cough. It’s happened to me on and off again for as many years as I can remember. lol
In the interest of the health of the Senators, I move that the Senate adjourn and reconvene on September 1, 2012.

You know they’ve been tested for swine flu already, because we can’t have such an inferior disease strike down superior citizens who have THE best healthcare in the WORLD!!!

Oh I know. So did I, feel real guilty about that though. Only because I don’t want those kids to be sick. If the whole US senate came down with swine flu and spared their own families, I don’t think it would bother me for a minute.

I do not wish any one sick so they should all go home NOW (before the end of the week) with no voting on any thing else. They have done enough to make us all sick.

Understand they bought all of this flu vaccine which the Govt wants to use on us even though it hasn’t been tested yet. So how about we line all Federal employees up, tell them to drop their drawers and use them for the guinea pigs - starting with BO!

The following story is not good. Two healthy adults with no pre-existing health conditions. A brother (19) and a sister (26) have both died in Indiana. My heart and prayers go out to the family.

I want Obama to have Obamacare. He’s already said he wouldn’t want it for HIS family. Let him, his family, his mother-in-law, extended family, and members of Congress and the Senate and their staffs ALL have Obama care for the next three-plus years.
Then Obamacare can be considered for the rest of us.
Well if they pass this I plan to make a point of lobbying the next congress and as many as it takes to do just that. No fair they inflict something like this on us without having to live by the same rules!
Please. Those who make the rules will NEVER live by those rules themselves.
Lock them in joint session and have a swine flu party!
