I’m sorry for saying this, but the thought of Gates getting beaten up is bringing a smile to my face.

She's just kidding, Mr. DHS Lurker. Just having a few laughs. Ha, ha. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Hear, hear. Just wait until the end of the year, when unemployment benefits have run out, people can’t run up their credit cards any more, can’t buy and don’t receive Christmas presents, and scrape just to heat their homes.

We’ve been buying ammo like there’s no tomorrow, but I’m beginning to wonder if I need to look into kevlar as well—like lining my door panels and rear seat with it.

Maybe we should send Gates some free Eagles tickets and a...Giants jersey, yeah, that’s the ticket (wink).

“they make the city look bad.”

The city IS bad.

The cops blatantly wait at the borders for suburban drivers to give tickets to, because the city residents don’t pay.

If you get a ticket in a distal corner of Philly, you have to drive 10 miles to traffic court where there is no parking, where you will be told the judge isn’t holding court, then they will take your info and a card imprint, fine you without your appearance, maybe tell you maybe not, F up your credit, put out warrants, impound your car, possibly just assault you because you are white, etc.

Philadelphia should be gassed. Only idiots live there, only idiots shop there, only idiots work there, only idiots have businesses there, only idiots drive through there.

The sole purpose for the suburban police is to scare the Philly criminals away. The suburban cops HAVE TO stop cars full of city dwellers, otherwise they would come out in hoards.

Got ammo?

Crap. I was hoping the brawl involved Sgt. Crowley and "Professor" Gates.

Well, you take a cop (Crowley), a liberally educated, racist, black man ( Gates), an egocentric megalomaniac with delusions of grandeur (0bama), and get them together. Now mix in "a few beers" while the talk over their disagreements.

What could go wrong?? ;^)

“They are an angry lot, who acts like idiots whether they win on lose. “

He said Philly, not L.A. or Detroit. At least Philly builds court houses right in the stadiums.

That means the intention of handling crime is there and after all isn’t that what really counts? Intention?

LOL! That’s so true about the suburban cops. As for the city, I’ve turned down jobs with a 25% raise simply because of the locals. I’ve told recruiters point-blank that under no circumstances will I take a job in the city limits. I never venture there anymore — although I’ve got a concealed-carry permit just in case.

Ammo? It’s holding our house down.

“The police commissioner has called for a city law

So this liberal shithead cop wants a law to require bars
to report fatalities caused by spilled beers.
Philadelpia is more wierd than a whale in your bathtub.

This stupid cop needs to be hauled off to the asylum.

One case makes a law?

Are they saying that there's a loophole that lived on for *centuries* undetected?

or are they trying to cast behavioral norms into law (good luck with that!) Or are there more rights going down the tube (State Power forever increases)?

Doesn't matter -- the sheeple will buy it anyway.

One case makes a law?

I agree with you. But the behaviour of Philly sports fans over the past three decades has led to this.

LOL but Giant Jersey not necessary. Just send him a Santa outfit.

Philly the only city that boo-ed and threw bottles at good old St. Nick. On national TV no less!

Well, apparently it is. At least for liberals. And Philly is full of 'em.

Small comfort for the dead guy though.

But the behaviour of Philly sports fans over the past three decades has led to this.

Well, if their behavior over the past three decades was completely lawful, I guess all of us just have to accept the result.

If self-control is no longer any basis for behavior, we deserve the prison state growing around us.

We have to get out of this trend that anytime something bad happens, “we need a new law” to address it.

This is totally covered under existing laws, I am sure more than enough calls to 911 were made from the bar patrons anyway. It’s just ridiculous. All this kind of stupid law will do is fine the barowner if he or she forgets to make the call, and I’m sure they’d also make it so the liquor license goes away too.

Remember "Gizmo's Law" ? guy punts a dog and now there's a new law.

I'm not making light of the subjects but sh*t happens no matter how "omnipotent" our gub'mint likes to believe that it is.
