A Health Care Offer We Can't Refuse

There are reports that some hospital associations and the AMA have come to an agreement with President Obama on health care reform. Here's some advice for these hospital administrators: Run, don't walk, to your neighborhood video store and rent Martin Scorcese's masterpiece Goodfellas.

Here's the problem. Hospitals are half empty after a crazy building boom. If Obama Care passes, 32 million new sick people will show up for every sniffle and hospitals will make a killing.

Drug companies, bandage companies and EVERYONE who sells stuff into the medical system will get rich as a flood of new patients get access to care. Even the AMA understands that they are long on family practitioners and specialists who can't seem to afford the newest Porche. More patients means more money into the system and lots of people get rich. The Insurance companies are the bad guys and nobody cares if they go under. Dollars are dollars and an ocean of them are heading toward MedicalLand!

This whole healthcare thing sounds too much like "An offer you can't refuse!"

In today's media based society I actually think people with at least a few brain cells left may actually understand what we are talking about!
