Detectives and worried relatives are searching desperately for a cold-hearted killer who murdered an 8-months-pregnant Massachusetts mom, cut her uterus open and took her nearly full-term baby girl.
The decomposing body of 23-year-old Darlene Haynes was found wrapped in a blanket and dumped in a closet Monday in her apartment in Worcester.

Cops say the estranged boyfriend is not a suspect, but I would think the odds are that whoever did this, knew the victim well enough to know how far along she was.

Yeah, knowing Worcester, I wouldn't be surprised. It's a cesspool. BUT! As the city once boasted on a billboard, "Every great American city has at least one college. Worcester had 10."

Otherwise, it's most likely some cult thing and clues to the cult are probably contained in interior decorations of the apartment.

The story in our paper this morning mentioned only one child, not the other two, and didn’t give as much information.
What a horrendous crime. Hope the baby is found alive and well and the other children remain safe.
Yikes! I don’t get the local paper, and hardly ever watch the evening news, so I didn’t hear about this! Poor girl. I hope her relatives can find the baby, still alive.

Throughout history, people have used magic and sacrifice to try and gain what they desire most.
At work, there is a tv on with CNN but no sound. Captions onscreen (headline subtitles, not narrator closed caption) said that a pregnant woman was attacked and her fetus was taken. Then the next thing on screen said “baby may still be alive”.
WTF? They swear it isn’t a baby. They should still be referring to it as a fetus, as in “the fetus may still be alive”.
Maybe that’s the baby referred to in what CNN put onscreen. They didn’t distinguish.
I don’t watch CNN, so I can’t say.
CNN nauseates me so I stay away from them as well as NBC, CBS, ABC and MSNBC.
