NEW YORK New York City is buying one-way plane tickets for homeless families to leave the city.
It's part of a program by Mayor Michael Bloomberg's administration to keep the homeless out of the expensive shelter system, which costs $36,000 a year per family.
More than 550 families have left the city since 2007. All it takes is for a relative to agree to take them in.
The city employs a travel agency for domestic travel and the Department of Homeless Services handles international travel.

Of course NO IMMIGRATION reform is oursued. In fact the OPPOSITE - open borders -health care for all is what Obama and liberals want!
LOL..we did the samething here in Atlanta just prior to the Olympics in 1996...shipped them out by the bus loads..good thing was most never came back :)

City Aids Homeless With One-Way Tickets Home
Published: July 28, 2009
They are flown to Paris ($6,332), Orlando ($858.40), Johannesburg ($2,550.70), or most frequently, San Juan ($484.20).
Justin Little and Eugenia Martin, with Inez, returned to North Carolina after only a few days when relatives paid their back rent.
They are not executives on business trips or couples on honeymoons. Rather, all are families who have ended up homeless, and all the plane tickets are courtesy of the city of New York (one-way).
Give all illegal aliens one-way tickets.
LOL! Sounds just like our health care solution that doesn’t need fixing, because it happens to be the best in the world.
If I can’t make it there, they’ll fly me anywhere?
The bill’s on you New York, New York?
...take a little vacation; visit some relatives; return to New York and start sucking at the public teet again. And if NYC tries to “kick you out” for violating your “agreement”, sue them on Consitutional grounds.
It’s a win-win all around for the homeless.
Cities all over America are trying to purge the homeless.
WTF! Did they all get first class tickets?!
Deport illegal aliens with one-way tickets.
I couldn’t agree more. They want to keep the illegal aliens around for cheap labor and votes.
All you have to do do is wait for the liberal judge to ask you where you came from and how you got there and what airlines, you'll finish your vacation with any answer and start a new one. Like Rush Limbaugh says, just learn to read liberals.

maybe that’s because Puerto Ricans aren’t immigrants, at least in their native country (usa).
I’m going to assume that you already knew that, but I’m not seeing any other connection.
I’ve been saying this for years: Good practice for the Air Force to practice “touch and goes”. Push the illegals out
on pallets with a case of MREs and water and a hearty “good luck”.
You're not suppose to be able to do that, just outsmart the liberal judge as a stupid hooker.
I live in Florida and resent the crap out of New York for doing this... ( I'll bet these peoople stay with "relatives" for about an hour before moving into our homeless shelters)
LOL! Put em on the pallets with MREs and water and practice that thing they do with C-130s during “hot landings?” Chute out as the “huddled masses” hold on to the pallet?
Funny that was what was done at Khe Sahn. Judge Carter who will hear the Obama BC case in CA got a bronze star and purple heart as a Marine officer at Khe Sahn.
this is a classic, new york solution. why not buy rich people a one-way ticket? Oh. Cuz they have money, and the city needs that.
How do you ensure they don’t just come back?
Used to be bus tickets, they’re moving up.
no,no,no. “hanging on” would be cruel and unusual.
I’d make custom highback racing seats to strap them into the custom rolling pallet.
touch down, roll out, take off...good luck!
