You may want to consider the advantages to having a portable. You can use it like the Mini, but can take it with you on an airplane, or a cruise.
I upgraded from a G4 PowerBook and a G4 17" iMac. Enjoy your new Mac of any ilk. I connected my old computer to a portable drive, backed up everything, and then just moved the icon to the new MacBook and it worked it's magic. I use Time Machine now, on all of my computers. I'm all Mac, all the time, since 1984!
Evening, Kathy.
My elder kitty Silky made a rare dash outside and I got distracted... Momma Raccoon came onto the patio with babies before I could get Silky to let me get her..Momma raccoon made moves toward kitty...not hissing..but of concern to me..By the time I got Silky I forgot about posting..LOL
The babies eventually came back with momma ...I have so messed up sleep time..and am so enjoying 5 baby raccoons.
I know your Dad will enjoy his new big screen...I have to pay for set up at my house! I know little about all that.
I think that set up, at least for tonight, is done. Anti-virus is humming away, Outlook email set up and receiving, homepage set to his choice, several links saved and instructions written down for him to continue.
And some excitement for you...Silky getting out with raccoon on the loose. Glad everything ended well.
A very pleasant good morning to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.
"Mac mini even lets you connect up to two displays, including your TV, with the mini-DVI port and Mini DisplayPort." (I can't believe the whole thing is 6.5" x 6.5" x 2") I'm hoping most monitors these days can be used by both PC and Mac. And Logitech wireless (laptop size) is my mouse of choice and I'll be getting her one of those.
Good morning, Mooch...Gut Shabbes. Hope your yesterday wasn’t too hot and you had something interesting to edit.
Thank you for doing your part to help keep all of us free and safe.
Coffee is always on........
How about a donut?
Cookies?
Veggies?
Sandwich?
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...did your really bad weather happen? Have a good Friday.
Good night.
No bad weather last night. Had a rrally great sleep night.:-D
Feeling refreshed this morning. Batteries charged back up so to speak.((LOL))
Good morning, Everyone. Good morning
Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for todays activities.

Hey, tomorrow is Saturday
Just remembered something I forgot to post yesterday. Be back shortly.
Time for me to make my rounds. But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!
Now remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS
So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS
REMEMBER THEM

Heavenly Father, have mercy on Bowe Bergdahl and arrange his release. Amen!

Love the picture of the seals sunning on the sub (bet you can't say “seals sunning on the sub” five times - fast...hehe)
Good morning Kathy. (54)
Saw this and have to ask....have you taken a picture of the guy? I'd love to see him.
My dad has alzheimer's at 86. He still emails us morning and evening from the VA hospital in Richmond. He wants us all to know he's still alive, and says so almost daily!!!
As for my recommend, it also gives me an extra screen. The one on the portable (13.4") is sitting right beside the 24". They can mirror or be used as an extension of the desktop. She could keep the same mouse and keyboard if they are familiar and working fine.
I love the ViewSonic. It is the best "reasonably priced" solution I found. I watch as many TV programs on it as I do my 42" Vizio. (BTW, my Vizio also has a DV input, and I have used it as a computer monitor a couple of times. While not good for reading fine stuff, it's great for videos..) The Apple monitor pictured below is a fabulous 24" but is about 4 times the price.
If she is not using the latest OSX, there will be some significant changes. Go to the Apple website for tutorials. (Click for link!)
Good morning beachy. (((HUGS))) to you. Here’s to a great TGIF today!
We may miss the triple digit mark again today. It was 82 at 6 PM yesterday from the rain cooled air.
We had right at 1/2” of much needed rain yesterday. There is another chance of more rain today.
