WASHINGTON -- August is shaping up as a make-or-break month for a health-care overhaul -- not because Congress will be hard at work in Washington, but because it won't.
Home for summer recess, lawmakers will be more accessible to constituents worried about the direction of the unfinished legislation.
Supporters and opponents plan to pour millions of dollars into television ads, phone banks and other efforts to shape public opinion.
Conservative groups, big business and others opposed to Democrats' health proposals plan to aim their fire at the push to create a publicly run insurance plan that will compete with private insurers.

Here is a link to the full House Democrat Health Care Plan in PDF. In Section 1233 E & F, pages 426-433, you find the part about mandatory end-of-life counseling for anyone over 65 years of age. Section 152 Page 50: All healthcare services will be provided without regard to "personal characteristcs" which is not defined within the document but is understood to include immigration status.
Section 224 b Page 125: The Secretary shall design and implement the payment mechanisms and policies under this section in a manner that (1) seeks to (B) reduce health disparities (including racial, ethnic and other disparities).
A lot more provisions now being documented at that site.
Donwload it, read it, study it, then hammer your reps over it and pass it on to all you know asking them to do the same.
Also, here's a large image of the Democratic (Obama) Health Plan chart-another Obama empty promise. This is the one the House democrats are censuring. Email these links or the image to everyone you know.
Obama and all those pushing his radical agenda are abject marxist ideologues. Their "fundamental; change" is nothing more than a destruction of the American free market and fundamental republican principle.

...and on the lighter side, take your mind off the Obamanation for a few minutes and enjoy some beautiful Western US scenery slideshows.
There is much to be done.
Continue writing, calling, protesting, meeting with, going to Town Halls, talking to friends, sending out info by email....there is LOTS to be done and no time sit and wait til recess is over!
As your Congress-critter to explain that chart!
That should take them a while. ;-)
Some questions to ask your congressmen/women:
- Why is congress and federal employees exempt from the new national health care bill?
- Will the “National Prevention and Wellness Stragegy” section (SEC. 3121) establish a gov’t board with enforcement authority to prevent and punish citizens who do not live a gov’t determined healthly life style?
-Why are illegal aliens not prohibited from participating in the new national health care scheme?
- Why do you believe that the federal gov’t should control our countries health care? And what Constitutional provision do you believe gives that right to the federal gov’t?
>>Home for summer recess, lawmakers will be more accessible to constituents worried about the direction of the unfinished legislation.<<
You’re joking, aren’t you? They will be LESS accessible; they don’t want to face the “little people”. Go look at your Sens & Reps website (that we pay for) and try and find a scheduled event. IF they have anything, it will be in the farthest corner of state/district they can find at the worst possible time (work hours) on a Wednesday! And then, they will talk and questions will only be softballs.
Not that my congress-critter, the Reverent Emmanuel Cleaver is ever going to be anything less than a hard-core leftist...
Or just go on vacation and let their staff handle it.
