KABUL (Reuters) - A U.S. service member was killed as the deadliest month for foreign troops in the Afghanistan war drew to a close, the U.S. military said on Friday, with commanders vowing to continue the fight despite the toll.

The death in southern Afghanistan brought to 40 the number of U.S. troops killed in July, by far the heaviest monthly toll in the 8-year-old war. The worst previous month for U.S. forces was in September 2008, when 26 were killed.

To be expected when our troops have both hands tied behind their backs by the traitor in chief!

Hmmm, where’s that antiwar crowd now?

But I guess they really didn’t care about soldiers dying. Ultmately, three causes are the root concern of the American left:

1. power
2. plunder
3. pederasty

Bashing Bush helped advance all three causes. Bashing Obama does not.

As far as the war goes, the deaths are horrendous, but if we are making ground against the Taliban, it may well be worth it. In Iraq, high casualties were often followed by periods of calm.

Bump

How come Cindy Sheehan is not on every TV show decrying the horrible Afghan War ? Where’s Chris Matthews? Where’s Bathtub Boy? Where’s the little boy, Rachel Maddow? How come our Dear Leader NEVER talks about this?

Oh, that’s right MSNBC is still consumed with Sarah Palin

This would have been the cover of Time when Bush was in office.

Where are the protesters marching on Washington against this travesty? Why is Cindy Sheehan still protesting Bush when Obama has stepped up the troop levels to these “deadly” levels?

“How come Cindy Sheehan is not on every TV show decrying the horrible Afghan War ? Where’s Chris Matthews? Where’s Bathtub Boy? ...”

How about Sheryl Crowe, Sean Penn, Viggo Mortensen? Jon Bongiovi? They made the talk show rounds decrying troops in Iraq.

I despise body counts.
Tell me what we are doing, where we are making progress, or where we need to do better.

As action levels increase, so will casualties, it’s an unfortunate truism of battle.
