Your local police may soon be packing flying surveillance bots. At the AlwaysOn Stanford Summit, Aeryon Labs President Dave Kroetsch gave a compelling pitch on his company, which makes a two-pound robot helicopter that has enough on-board intelligence and stability control to allow it to be flown by people who just point to locations on a Google Map-based interface.

I wonder how they handle buckshot...

Oh wait...that will be perverted into assault on a “police officer” somehow...

Dove are twitchy when they come into a field of milo or a tank. These things hover and move in straight lines at computed speeds between points. They will be MUCH easier to hit.

That's my story, about why my brother skunked me on the last dove hunt, and I'm sticking to it.

With electric propulsion this one ought to be very quiet in operation and nearly invisible when used for “hover and stare”. And even if they do get hit, vital intel can be gathered at lower risk to troops or cops. Also think about flying gas sensors over a chemical spill, looking into a burning structure for survivors and other non-hostile applications. Cool stuff.

7 1/2 shot (steel, to meet the new feral laws), low brass. No need to reach out, and if you shoot Winchester, a good spread with the field loads.

No doubt about it... it will be an assault on an officer of the law... even if it is made out of tin... :-)

Depends on who's flying it, whether it's cool or not, and what the purpose is, and if they have a warrent, BB.

Besides, I'm so deef now that I rely on the dogs to alert me to unlawful intruders. They point, I can click.

And you pull the breasts out, debone, wrap the meat (what little there is) around a jalepeno, wrap the assembly in bacon, and grill it.

And drink beer, of course. But unless you are poaching big-time, or saved the meat for years, you have to go get steaks so you can have something to eat for supper.

All that for a damn flying heur d'euvre. And I still go, every year.

Maybe the most fun hunting of all. The eating, not so much. Good recipe though!
