I attended "office Hours" at an Austin Randalls, for Congressman Lloyd Doggett today, supposed to be 11-12:30.
Following that he summerally called an end to the discussion and attempted to leave 30 minutes before the published time. He was followed through the parking lot to his car by constituents chanting just say no, His car was blocked and he was delayed leaving.
A Doggett supporter described the incident as a nasty crowd'
Help us show him how these constituents feel.
The next office hours meeting is scheduled for 4pm today at the Bastrop County Courthouse. Make your voice heard.
How fun! He needs several more reminders.
LOL - the rascals are on the run.
I’m glad to see this post. I called him the other and spoke with an aide and told them that Texas DID NOT want this obamacare! I hope he gets run out of town asap
WHAT a good time I had today and I must admit I was on the edges and not starting all the chanting and pressuring. I figure I call his office every day so he hears from me, this time it was little old ladies on walkers and they had never done this before.
Almost all the signs, no socialized medicine, keep your hands off my rights, just say no, pictures of Doggett with big X’s across the face.
There was no sound system, so he could only be heard by 5 people at a time. He was asked if this Health care was going to cover illegal alliens and he said, NO.
they started calling him a”liar” and “read the bill”.
I had a copy of the bill (weighs almost 10 #’s) and they pushed me to the front but I didn’t get to question him.
There were many new “freepers” there, I think people are waking up. If he wasn’t scared when he left, he should have been.
Way to go!!
Thanks for the AWESOME report. They have underestimated the wrath of the voters including senior citizens. Three Hundred is a lot for a Saturday morning. Wonder how many are going to show up in Bastrop.
You need a version the San Diego chicken at the next one to show what a chicken he is for not staying there the whole time and not answering questions.
Wonderful. He lied to his constituents on his last vote, even touting on his website, he’d vote no, then did the exact opposite. His office in DC couldn’t be reached because the lines were jammed, and the folks in Austin seemed clueless about his last minute vote change.
Actually, I hope Doggett and the other Democrats all get the same treatment. Knowing Doggett is a typical Democrat who fears the public, he needs—and the rest of them need—to see angry crowds at all their office hours and to be confronted wherever they go in public. And the words people should use are: You sunuvabitch! We did not elect you to screw us. You better learn to say, “Do you want fries with that, sir?” because on January 3, 2011 the only job you will be able to get around here is working the counter at McDonalds. And you’ll probably get fired from that job within two months, too.
This is a nasty crowd.

They ain't seen nothing yet.
Lloyd Doggett, chicken$#!+.
What’s wrong, Lloyd boy . . . can’t stand the heat?
You’re such a man.
Way to go Bat Lady!!!
Since these traitors don’t listen to “We the People” anymore...we have to do what our ancestors would do—boil up some tar and break out the feathers. Find a good sturdy rail.
If they don’t listen to this, then that is next...
That liberal imbecile first ran for the senate back in the 80’s. I don’t know how anyone could have thought he’s vote any other way.
Thank you for going and for the report. This will insipre others to do the same.
Doggett is a pos far far leftist. He was pretty stupid to say a few hundred angry voters didn’t have a say.
I hope somehow he gets voted out but his district is pretty solid leftist isnt it?
Come on , let’s All get to our polticians offices.
Sure hope some video of this turns up.

He deserved every painful moment of it.
Hey Lloyd, ain’t any protestors over at Louie Gohmert’s office!
What are the chances of defeating Doggett in 2010?
From what I have read, he was won past elections by wide margins.
PLEASE TAKE VIDEO RECORDERS TO THESE EVENTS!!!!
Nothing is as effective as a video tape, showing smug, arrogant, question-dodging thugs running from the people they were hired to SERVE!!
We need to have people with recorders at all of these meetings, everywhere across the country.
He he! And we’re talking Austin, the most liberal city in the state.
They aren't quite so brave when they get out of Washington and no longer have Capitol Hill Security watching their backs.
Good for you and all the other good folks. Doggett is so crooked he can hide behind a corkscrew. When he dies, they will just screw him into the ground.
If you have an Austin ping list, please add me to it. I live in Representative Lamar S. Smith’s [U.S. House District 21] but work in Austin.
Great work! LLiberal LLoyd is going to vote for this boondoggle no matter how many angry voters show up. So the real objective is to take these “town halls” and turn them into videotaped shoutdowns.
Maybe the Blue Dogs will listen but I doubt hardcore leftists like LLiberal LLoyd will flinch. But the videos can get put on YouTube and maybe convince some fence-sitters to get involved.
Great report!
GREAT report!
I hope and pray that the same is happening all across this great land!
This piece of garbage is my Rep. I don’t think he has represented me one time. If I would have known about this I would have driven to Austin and it would have been 301.
PLEASE TAKE VIDEO RECORDERS TO THESE EVENTS!!!! Not only that it is proof we are civil when they say we were an unruly mob.
I think a more effective chant would be "Don't kill Grandma"
Alas, that district is hopeless. Doggett is king there. Just like Cuellar in his district.
This is one of those salamander districts that includes Austin, Bastrop, and McAllen far to the south.
He is voting as his constituents wish, as these overakk districgt voters are probably 60 percent socialist. They think government creates no problems and can solve all with sufficient funding.
There is no District 45 in TX for the U.S. House, as TX has only thirty-two districts.
He’s as dumb as a bag of rocks......Keep ROCKING him!
He wouldn’t by chance have tried to hold this meeting in the produce section, did he? It would have been too tempting to throw something at him.
Doggett’s Bastrop fiasco didn’t go much better. In a city that is deep blue, 1/3 of the crowd at City Hall was protesters. Doggett then moved on to the Kerr Community Center (an old black church), under a police escort, where at least 1/3 of the people were protesters.
The blue t-shirts (Bastrop County Democratic Party) tried to shut the protesters down. On blue shirted lady tried to get the Bastrop PD to make the protesters leave. She didn’t have any luck. But there was some pushing and shoving of one protester, who filed charges and a African American guy threatened an older lady and told her if she didn’t shut the hell up, after she yelled at Doggett if he would go on the public plan himself, she would suffer the consequences. She asked the guy if he was threatening her and he repeated what he said, that she would suffer the consequences if she didn’t shut up. She also filed a police complaint and was visably shaken by being threatened.
Doggett gave his “this health care bill is wonderful, it just screws senior citizens” speech and when it came time to answer questions, he clearly only called on people he knew were Democrats. This angered the protesters who knew what he was doing. Some of the blue shirts yelled at the protesters and told them that Doggett had come to talk to them, not the protesters.
I left early because it was getting pretty shakey and I was afraid there was a possibility it was going to get out of control.
Doggett didn’t exactly get the reception he expected in deep blue Bastrop.
DUMP DOGGETT ‘10
You know who mostly lives in Bastrop, don’t you?
Besides the farmers and ranchers that have been there for decades, the residents are mostly City of Austin and Travis County employees that don’t want to actually live in or send their children to the socialist mess they make for everyone else.
THIS is true freeping.
Excellent.
FRegards,
LH
There’s a wonderful video of the protesters posted at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8UjY3YDlwA
His lies need to be recorded and posted on YouTube.
That is sooo true.
Tom Delay did his part, bless his heart! This POS Doggit was my congresscritter till Delay rewrote his district away from me, thank God. Wound up with a true Hero, Michael T. McCaul. It was said back then of Doggit, that he was very amenable to requests from citizens- If they brought Cash!
Thanks hun!
Let me know for sure. If there is going to be an event, I am so there!
Finally getting time to finish the report
#2 The Bastrop thing was in the City Hall/AC & microphone. Very small room but crowded, maybe 40 people. The people with signs in the back. The meeting was the Bastrop Historical meeting where Doggett was giving out some pork, thousands of dollars to renovate downtown Bastrop (it needs it).
One guy in the back kept saying “TAXPAYERS MONEY” I agreed with him, but this meeting was not the place. 3 guys behind me and one sitting next to me, were upset that the “healthcare protestors” were coming to this meeting. Come to find out they were all board members of the Historical Society. Doggett did acheive his “pork for votes” in that room.
Not wanting to distrupt the Historical meeting we ducked out and so did most Healthcare people.
Outside was a table set up with a picture of “tea” and 4 glasses and a deck of cards (with republican elephant on the back) The “freepers” (I like that term better than protestors. Because freeping is standing up for things - tho I accept protesting against HC)
We talked for a while with the tea party and showed the huge binder that contains the whole bill. Took some pictures and left.
Sounds like we left too early. darn I hated missing that fun. Talking to the early ones, they were from Bastrop and the guy who yelled out during the meeting was also from Bastrop so I figure he had the right.
I had to look up Doggetts site, yes I had it wrong, not 45 but 25. Sorry. I should have looked at my voter card before posting. my bad.
#45. I have called Doggett every day for years. I didn’t know I was supposed to give cash each time. 1st I can’t afford that, 2nd. he wouldn’t listen anyway and I won’t add to the guys war chest. I did give him a book once (The FairTax) later asked if he read it and he said, “there is another thing we don’t agree on” that is a direct quote. The guy is hopeless.
Most all “angry” people (yes they were angry - my words and true) were lots little old ladies who had written doggett or called for months sometimes like me years. They are angry because he has forced that attitude upon us. We will sit on the couch as they have taken our rights and liberty for years but now it is the taking of liberty from our children and unborn grandchildren and that makes them angry and the line is being drawn.
And what is that line? The Constitution! The US would be in NONE of this mess and ALL OF IT CAN BE FIXED if Congress would only vote for what they are allowed to. Cut taxes to the bone and give that money back to the people. They will know how best to stimulate the economy.
My other thought is that I hated that slavery ever happened but I define slavery as someone else taking most of what you work hard to get. When taxes get over 20% then we are just slaves. At 60-80% with cap & tax & HC that is a slavery you can’t get back out of.
that is a worse fate than slavery in the south ever was. The 98% of people who lived in the south before the civil war DID NOT have slaves, and worked hard on farms. When the north attacked, they had to fight and they died.
And what do we have today? hate crime laws which protect the blacks, muslims and homosexuals, not the white person nor the Christians. And STILL, they call us racists or homophobes! It is a deliberate mis-direction and so obvious that it makes one sick.
