his approval rating plummeted among whites, dropping over two days from 53 percent to 46 percent in a poll by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center

I doubt very much that he ever got 53% of whites to support him. He only got 45% of the white vote during the elections. If he got 40% or less of the white vote he would have lost the elections.

Also it is too late for Obama to save himself among a big majority of white voters. No amount of dog and pony shows is going to change their minds that he is a racist. In fact those dog and pony shows are seen by a big majority of white as an insult to their intelligence by a racist and they are making matters much worse not better.

Here we have the unseemly exhibition of the AP actually pleading with its (white) readers to understand the delicate nuances exhibited by the black prince during the Gates comedy of Barackian errors. It moans and groans that their precious, misunderstood Hussein fumbled the racial harmony message and by doing so the stupid American electorate, who can't focus on two issues at once like Barack can, lost sight of the healthcare message that was going great guns until the Kenyan, who has only our best interests at heart, opened his big mouth.
You have to wonder when the AP decided to stop reporting actual news and decided to accept an article that is little more than an ideological tract that could have been written by......well, by Barack Obama The best part of the article is the quote by some Columbia University political science guy who was obviously awakened in the middle of the night while he was having sex with his boyfriend. He pretty much explains that the whole diminishing poll fuss should be ignored since Hussein's falling numbers are caused by white voters and the chances are good that these same white rascals are more likely to be REPUBLICANS or INDEPENDENTS, so who cares what they think. Finally the author throws Obama lovers a lifeline by telling them that things will get better because of the August recess. So I guess the AP is counting on the fact that the disappearance of their beloved Barack for the month of August is really a good thing since it will give those same dumb white hicks the opportunity to see how unfair and unjust they've been to Barack, especially when those pesky pollsters roll around.

LOL! Probably too true...

In any case, I think even the August recess, brief though it be in terms of the damage our "elected representatives" can do, will slow him down. He really needs speed to carry off his agenda. As Mark Steyn said, the health care stuff is the thing that will enable him to take over every individual citizen's life, and it is crucial for him to get this passed before people focus on this and resist. The more he gets slowed down, the better our chance to survive.

Obama's widely publicized effort to defuse the first racial flare-up of his young presidency by inviting the protagonists to the White House....

Wait a minute. They couldn't both be protagonists. They were on opposite sides of the issue.

One of them was the protagonist: Sgt. Crowley. And the other was the antagonist: Professor Whogivesafig.

And besides....where's the birth certificate!!!???

Minorities need to wake up to some unpleasant realities and fast.

Minorities are only victims because they are told they are victims by the liberals. Then the liberals enact policies to keep them victims, maintain them as victims - slaves if you will - but are told through lofty rhetoric to hate the white man, not be like the white man - which is just the opposite of what they should do. Minorities need to wake up to the fact that it is liberals who are keeping them down, not conservatives. Conservatives want all to succeed and prosper as much as possible but not by government mandate, charity or welfare but through personal responsibility, hard work and diligence, pride in individual achievement, accomplishment and success, business entrepreneurship, and the belief that if we all work together, there is nothing our great and noble country cannot do to improve it and ourselves.

Maybe it is time for minorities to grow up and realize a) it is not 1972, b) they have the same opportunities as everyone else, and c) nobility and self-respect do not come via a government check.

yes, and how can this possibly help him pr-wise with those who side with gates? they think the cop is a racist, and Obama thinks a beer will cure his racism???

zero isn’t slick like Clinton. Clinton changed the subject and moved on very quickly. Obama thinks he is a master showman, so he stages this foolish photo op, which only reminds everyone of his racist words, and evidently the fool wants to perpetuate reminding everyone, with a series of meetings between the racist and the cop.

I don’t think Obama is too bright.

I think Biden is rubbing off on Obummer. They are both having “loose lips” problems and Biden is contagious. Either that or Obummer has been a radical Black Panther like racist all along reinforced in the pews of Jeremiah Wright’s so-called “church”.

When Obama drops another 5 points in the polls, Michelle will announce that she is no longer proud of America.

I don’t drink much anymore because of medications I have to take, but on that day, I will skip the meds and have an almost frozen beer.... or three.

I may even buy my dog a beer.

Lawrence Jacobs, director of the Center for the Study of Politics and Governance at the University of Minnesota’s Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, said he was stunned at how poorly Obama, normally so controlled, handled what Jacobs called “the first major personal debacle for the president.”

“Normally so controlled?” What? Here is a man who has said some of the most stupid things ever for a President and presidential candidate. The author must be drinking his favorite beverage: ice cold Obama-flavored Fool-Ade.

His was a falling star before the Gates episode. He’s done nothing since taking office to put, or keep, his star in ascendancy. He’s an empty suit and slowly but surely that fact is being proved with every move he makes.
