Only you and the person making the claim can answer that. I am not going to be the ham in the sandwich. Ask the freeper who told you that, ask him to show you what it was (THE SOURCE) that brought about his POV or opinion.

Don’t tell me, show me, might be a good approach.

...Then answer your question on where were the differences in handwritng on the two forms .

You make it sound as if you were looking for something to help me out, believe me, I asked you that question about the differences in the writing only SO THAT YOU WOULD SEE THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE.

Most people haven't even noticed.

The answers to questions on that form that the kenyan did complete, was obviously what he wanted the immigration department to know.

The answers to the questions that the additional handwritng completed might just be what the person who added it, WANTS US TO KNOW.

You'll never know WHO it was because they didn't sign it. And you'll never know WHEN the material was added, because it isn't dated.

I gather that the formal, accepted method is to write a memo by hand or type it, with a date and a signature. If you scroll through the file, you'll see that's how most of the questions are treated.

Why should this one be different? The information added is crucial to the mythos of birth and parentage. It's simply not good enough IMO to have it appear UNDATED AND ANONYMOUSLY.

The Woods memo

An additional document from Obama Sr.’s INS file is relevant: a handwritten memo dated Aug. 31, 1961, by William Wood, as seen in Exhibit 5.

Exhibit 5: Barack Obama Sr. INS File, Woods Memo, Aug. 31, 1961. Click to enlarge.

The memo’s use of the term “claims” suggests the information came from Obama Sr., possibly at an in-person meeting with an officer at the INS office when he filled out and filed his visa extension form.

The memo confirms Dunham was leaving Hawaii to attend school in Seattle, an additional factor the INS would have examined had an investigation been undertaken into the legitimacy of the marriage and the fatherhood of the child.

In the last paragraph, the memo notes the child was living with the mother at the home of the grandparents, while the Kenyan was living at the Alencastre Street address – facts that did not need to be seriously considered if the only relevant question in extending Obama Sr.’s visa was whether or not he was then a student in good standing.

Interesting, the note appended to the memo suggests the information the Kenyan provided raised serious questions about the wife and child that would need to be answered if he were applying for more than a temporary stay.

Given that the INS was not going to conduct an investigation, the Woods memo appears to document only what the Kenyan said and did not determine whether or not the claims were true.

While Obama Sr.’s INS files do not prove he was not the father of the future president, they provide ample documentation the officer was skeptical the Kenyan was legitimately married to Dunham and/or was the biological father of Barack Obama II.

By deciding to stay with the temporary student visa status, the Kenyan obviated the need for an INS investigation that might have uncovered in 1961 that the marriage was fraudulent and the biological father of the child was someone else.

If the person partly filled the form and later had an update meeting to fill in the missing items, then they would have no reason to be upset.

If they filled the form partially, and someone later filled in the missing items without a meeting, would the form filler find out about the later additions?

"I think it's quite obvious that the main purpose of Barack Sr.'s obtaining that passport at that time was to come to Hawaii as a student. And knowing of his lifestyle once he arrived on American soil, it's a safe bet to assume that he didn't want any of his new friends in the US to know about his family in Kenya. So he conveniently neglected them on his passport. That's the simplest explanation. "

I think you right. The guy was a scoundrel.

The apple didn't fall too far from the tree either.

Plus didn’t say anything about his wife and kid because that would get him in hot water.

Those INA docs have a lot of info on it, see Fred’s post #10848 for the link.

The docs fred nerks posted are the pages 14 and 34.

See my post #10917 about page 21 . Also on that page they talk about multiple marriages.

Pages 35 and 36 are where they talk about his marrying Ann dunham.

The wife’s parents address where she lived may not have been important at that stage; it was not at a formal investigation yet... he got out before they could go after him about not supporting a wife and child.

Questions to all, for discussion purposes:

For what reason would INS be skeptical about whether Barack Obama was the father?

To what advantage would it be for BHO to admit having a wife and child in 1961?

One thing that I’m coming up with, regarding your list starting at 10850: I’m getting mighty confused!

So the Alien Registration is dated Sept. 1962, but it says his dob is 1934. That’s on page 1 of the INS documents. Page 3 is from Oct. ‘62, and it also says 1934.

This is going to take me a lot longer to figure out than I have time for today. I’ll get back to you.

Here's the reason why the kenyan student never made it on the airlift, the students that did were selected and vetted by Tom Mboya, who would NEVER have recommended the inclusion of Barack Hussein Obama Onyango, and there's absolutely NO evidence that they were 'friends' as claimed over and over again...while the kenyan student was supposedly getting married to Kezia and working as a clerk in Nairobi - Tom Mboya, WHO WAS SIX YEARS OLDER was AT OXFORD IN ENGLAND.

Blacklisted

The Daily Mail is reporting that Barack Obama’s controversial and legally-contested hold on the executive office just got a great deal more complicated. Documents released this week by the British Foreign Secretary reveal that Obama’s father, Barack Hussein Obama, Senior, was the target of an international investigation due to his ties to Kenyan terrorists groups. The top secret files, which had been suppressed for decades, were privately condemned by administration officials who feared they would undermine Obama as polls show him trailing Republican contender Mitt Romney by at least five points. They also highlight the mounting public evidence tying Barack Jr. to communist sleeper cells and long range plots to undermine American democracy.

A memo from a British diplomat in Washington to Whitehall -- released today by the National Archives in West London -- sets out their concerns about the young Kenyans.

Dated September 1, 1959, it says: "I have discussed with the State Department. They are as disturbed about these developments as we are. They point out that Kenya students have a bad reputation over here for falling into the wrong hands and for becoming both anti-American and anti-white."

In one of the Foreign Office files, the future president’s father appears on a list of Kenyan students as "OBAMA, Barack H" -- they shared the same name.

Hi Green! Don't lose to much sleep over it, the entire file is full of it. The simplest explanation might be that he changed his birth year to coincide with the mistake made initially. We've been led to believe this document is a fake, but if it isn't, if what we see here was the initial attempt to lodge an application for a birth certificate which might give rise to a birth announcement in the Honolulu papers, then this is the first time he's shown to have a birth year of 1936.

We have to keep in mind that the regulation mentioned on the bottom of that item didn't come into force until the early eighties iirc. Maybe Madelyn (per grandmother) attempted, unsuccessfully or successfully...to obtain a COLB on the strength of it.

And 'birthplace Kenya' might just be there because it doesn't point to where he was really born. In other words, what we are looking at could be a report of an out-of-state birth, of a child whose mother and father we have no idea who they were.

See if you can find the AASF as sponsors on any of the immigration documents.

Tom Mboya’s connection to the kenyan student is a myth. There’s nothing that ties the Kenyan to the AASF that I can see.

His ticket to Hawaii was paid for by Elizabeth Mooney. He only had enough money for one or two semesters. And when Elizabeth married, she could no longer send him money. His sponsors are then shown as THE AFRICAN AMERICAN INSTITUTE.

Nice one, but what’s the significance? The passport image we have been presented with may or may not be genuine, and what does it tell us? That he started out claiming he was born in 1934, not 1936? I think we already knew that, didn’t we? Or that he didn’t include his family? He didn’t inclde them on his immigration docs either.

It’s too early in the day for a headache...

August 31, 1961. He’s got a birth year of 1934.

That makes him 27 three weeks after the Hawaii Miracle Birth. But the LFGBC SHOWS HIM AS 25. (As does the document with the ‘per grandmother’ notation)

April 21, 1964. His birth year shows as 1936.

You need time to absorb all this you say? I need a shrink or a drink.

I agree that this forgery is a good approximation of what such a filing would look like, but the talented forger knew that.

The forger neglected to remove stray marks in block 19a that were from signatures on the real BC that was used as a base onto which forged signatures were cut and pasted. On the web there are images of the original and the stray marks in 19a match perfectly.

Note that Madelyn’s name is misspelled, although people don’t always write all the letters in their name in a signature as it morphs over time.

THE OTHER BARACK

THE BOLD AND RECKLESS LIFE OF...

The crowd at Makadara Hall had been waiting for nearly half an hour. It was a humid Sunday in 1957, and over a thousand men and women were eager to see their political hero, Tom Mboya, take the stage. Craning for a glimpse of the presumed next president of the Nairobi Peoples Convention Party, the crowd churned against the sheet-metal walls that framed Nairobi’s largest social hall, chanting bits of song, ever watchful of the European police officers stationed at the doorways.

Mboya was often late, but he always showed up at this weekly event, easily one of the city’s most popular political meetings. Just as the crowd was growing impatient, a figure stepped on the stage. But it was not Mboya in his trademark red windbreaker. It was a woman. More astonishing, it was a mzungu. She was barely over five feet tall, her floral skirt falling just above her pale ankles, a tentative smile playing across her angular face. The crowd grew abruptly quiet, uncertain as Mboya appeared on the stage behind her. What did this mean? Surely, this could not bode well.

But when the white woman began to speak, with Mboya acting as her interpreter, they listened. Her name was Elizabeth Mooney. And she had come to change their lives.

The forty-three-year-old Texas native was a literacy teacher who the Kenyan government had employed under a U.S.-sponsored program to teach Kenyans how to read and write. In the four months since she had arrived, Mooney had had difficulty spreading word of her program. And so when the immensely popular Mboya, an ardent advocate of education, had offered to let her appear on stage, Mooney jumped at the chance. Mooney made good use of her few minutes, explaining to the impatient crowd how easy it could be to learn how to read and write and exactly how her classes were taught. Although her appearance prompted much fluttering in the U.S. Consulate office and a reprimand in one of the local papers—both parties were distraught at the impropriety of her appearing on stage with such a high-profile politician—her mission had been accomplished.

Her words that day turned the tide in her favor, and the numbers in her classroom tripled the following week. During her two-year stay in Kenya, Mooney would change the course of hundreds of Africans’ lives, but none so completely as that of a young man named Barack Obama. In a matter of months Mooney not only helped give focus to his wandering ambition, but at a time when many doors seemed closed to him, she provided the critical assistance that ultimately put him on a plane to America, thus planting the seed of a political upheaval to come a generation later…

They had crossed paths several times in the city, for Obama often attended Mboya’s afternoon addresses. But one afternoon, not long after her appearance at Makadara Hall, Mooney happened to visit the cramped office of the Indian law firm where Obama worked as a clerk typist taking dictation. This time they began to talk. Eager to staff her Spartan office on Ribeiro Street in the heart of Nairobi, Mooney observed that Obama was both fast and accurate at the keyboard as he worked. She promptly offered him a position as her secretary, and Obama started work for her a few days later…

Over the course of long hours spent poring over the evolving texts with Obama, the serious-minded Mooney gradually warmed to Obama’s ironic sense of humor. In Obama she found a keenly intelligent student bristling with potential, one who also happened to have a powerful magnetism with women. That he was desperately eager to perfect his English and advance the rudimentary social skills the Old Man had taught him may have drawn her to him even more. At the time they met, Obama was just coming into his manhood. Obama was now a young father, for early in 1958 Kezia had given birth to his first son. They named him Roy Abongo Obama, although he later assumed the name Malik. Kezia took care of the baby almost entirely herself, but Obama was aware of his responsibilities as the father of an infant son. Mooney had no children of her own, but she delighted in young people and took a great interest in Obama’s small family.

Although not a tall man, his broadface and often earnest expression gave Obama a commanding appearance. Alongwith his elegant demeanor, he possessed an intense physical allure. The same fluidity that drew admiring stares on the Kendu Baydance floor of his youth was now present in an everyday grace of movement. The power of his appeal, however, had as much to do with his aura of self-confidence and ebullience as it did with his physical attributes, at least as a young man. And then there was the trumpeting voice, now matured, that could snap a sleepy room to attention from a corridor away. Obama, clearly, wasnot to be passed over.

What Obama found in Mooney was more complex. Part of her appeal for him was certainly the job. Working at the Literacy Center provided both social standing and the opportunity to rise. But Mooney and Obama also spent time together outside the office, enjoying rural drives and attending some of the popular evening dances. And that association brought a different kind of benefit for Obama. Among a certain kind of African man, just keeping company with a white woman provided considerable social status. Doing so was a bold act, the behavior of a man who no longer intended to blindly knuckle to European social mores.Although certain elements among both the colonists and the Africans disapproved of interracial unions, others felt it was high time that things began to change. C. M. G. Argwings-Kodhek, the lawyer who squared off with Mboya in colorful political debates, had openly thrown down a gauntlet when he married a white woman while he was studying outside the country in the early 1950s, a time when, in Kenya, it was against the law to do so. Kenyatta had also married a white woman in England, although he did not bring her home until after independence. And if others speculated about the precise nature of the relationship between Mooney and Obama, well, all the better from Obama’s point of view.
