JERUSALEM (JTA) -- The Israeli Police's National Fraud Unit recommended that the state prosecutor indict Avigdor Lieberman in a money-laundering scheme.
In a brief turned over Sunday to the Attorney General's office, the police recommended that the foreign minister be indicted on charges of bribery, fraud, money laundering, witness harassment and obstruction of justice, Ha'aretz reported.
The investigation has been ongoing for several years, but picked up steam after Lieberman's Yisrael Beiteinu became the third largest political party in the country in last February's elections. Lieberman petitioned the Supreme Court to speed up the investigation after he became foreign minister.

Police 'to pursue' Lieberman case
Every time an Israeli politician opposes the land-for-nothing dogma, they are ‘indicted’ by the corrupt Israeli ‘police’. This is the most number of counts ever charged to an Israeli politicians, because Lieberman is the biggest threat to the suicidal secular Jewish establishement who has ever emerged.
The senior minister in his response to the police recommendation stated Israel Police has been hounding him for 13 years, making recommendations regarding numerous alleged crimes, but to date, there has not been and convictions against him. In the past, he has accused police of conducting a witch hunt against him, demanding that open investigations be closed if there is no evidence to move ahead with an indictment.
They've been trying to bust him for years.
fascist leftist witch hunt.
The left hates Lieberman and considers him an embarassmment. I would not be suprised if the same foreign governments in Europe were funding this as are funding other leftist agendas in Israel.
