Video: Obama’s Latest Lie
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-bY92mcOdk
http://www.NakedEmperorNews.com

In a 6/15/2009 speech to AMA, President Obama decries as “illegitimate” the criticism that “a public option is somehow a Trojan horse for a single-payer system.”

At a March 2007 SEIU health care forum, presidential candidate Obama was advocating universal access for those who had no employer-provided insurance to “a federal system or state pool of some sort,” adding “I don’t think we are going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately...there’s going to be potentially some transition process...I can envision a decade out...”

At a 2003 speech at an AFL-CIO conference, Mr. Obama stated “I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer universal health care plan...a single payer health care plan -.universal health care plan – that’s what I’d like to see.”

In a 7/27/2009 videotaped on-the-fly interview, senior Democrat Congressman Barney Frank stated: “[I]f we get a good public option, it could lead to single payer, and thats the best way to reach single payer.”

I really wish people would use correct tittles when posting or something, as this morning I SEARCHED

And not -one- article showed up anywhere.

I search before I post to save the time in posting the article, as it it time consuming.

BTW, Drudge/Breitbart used their own headline to post the youtube video posted by NakedEmperorNews that has the title “SHOCK UNCOVERED: Obama IN HIS OWN WORDS saying his Health Care Plan will ELIMINATE private insurance” which was used by the original FR thread (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2306723/posts?page=43#43)

And thanks for the ping to the other I will go look at that.

I am not directing it to anyone. Just wondering outloud is all, sorry! This morning I searched titles for this thread exactly and there was nothing already posted is all and the one you linked still is not showing. (Just trying to figure this out is all.)

pacothecat did indeed post this article yesterday, but it did not show up in a title search as you can see above.

Ok that clears it up a bit. Thanks. I guess the title search does not pick up ‘similiar words in gist of the entire title’.

I see now that the other thread used Drudge’s
headline so I could not find it. Thanks.

Hopefully not at the risk of sounding like a whiney liberal... I would like to see the entire video of that conversation. I typically a little suspicious over any video using the Michael Moore technique. Context is important. But I can imagine what is being implied to be true simply by tying this and other statements he has made together.

So is this socking uncovered video or is it just made to sound this way?

Take 2:

Hopefully not at the risk of sounding like a whiney liberal... I would like to see the entire video of that conversation. I’m typically a little suspicious over any video using the Michael Moore technique. Context is important. Blah blah blah…

So is this shocking uncovered video or is it just made to sound this way?

Every employer in the country is salivating at the thought of shedding health insurance for a fixed fee.

Can't say I blame them. Too many employees look at health benefits as their God given right. If the employer cost or deductible rises so much as $5.00 these ingrates piss and moan. On top of that I see couples taking their children to the emergency room if their temperature goes .5 over 98.6. I won't even get started on spurious medical claims by citizens of this country. Throw in the free care given to illegals and we have a pretty nice cluster f*ck.

What would I do if I could snap my fingers and make it so? I would make health insurance costs the responsibility of the person or family. Not the employer, not the taxpayer, i.e., government. Premiums would be slashed because the free market would now effect the costs, and people, if they have to pay for it all themselves, would begin living differently to avoid going to a doctor's office or hospital. More women would probably give birth at home, like women have for thousands of years.
I have ceased smoking years ago and am now approx three weeks without snuff. I work out and really watch my diet. Why should I have to pay higher insurance premiums because some slob wishes to smoke and eat bacon every morn?
I , nor anyone else, shouldn't. And why should anyone have to pay, indirectly, because of unhealthy choices I may make? They should not.

I do know that 0bama has said this at townhall meetings in so many words.

Bottom line is... 0bama’s intentions seem to be more for power.

I agree and I think one thing that would move us towards "fixing" health care is to detach it from employment. I should be able to voluntarily carry my current coverage from job to job. Also, the disparity in charges from one person to the next has to end. Equal cost for equal treatment. If you're not in a huge group ins plan, wait till you get the bill for $21 aspirin. It's ridiculous.

I also think that everyone should be required to carry some catastrophic care plan with a fairly high deductible like $1500. This will stop visits to the emergency room for sniffles.

Of course, the problem is we've got laws on the books that say people can't be denied treatment at emergency rooms. I don't think they should be denied treatment for basic life saving but anything short of that...shows us your insurance or hit the bricks. Canada has a pretty good handle on that...that's one thing we should take from the Canadian system. Just try to get treatment without your health card or secured payment...you don't get it unless you're at immediate risk.

I don’t need a video to tell me what should be obvious to everyone who can still think. Obama is a commie!

You’re right. Why should we expect a socialist system to cover our bloody noses? Do we expect our auto insurance to cover a flat tire?

Private doctors, the majority of doctors, make their living off of private insurance. On Medicare rates they have to go out of practice. Much of the excellence in the American healthcare system is perceived by grateful patients as directly related to their private doctors. The public, within five years, will have no private doctor to go to.

At least 40% of physicians in private practice are over 55 years of age, and many have less than full time practices...they will be forced to shut down even with malpractice reform. If specialists were paid what they were paid in 1990, the malpractice crisis would disappear. The draconian cuts to specialists in private practice serving Medicare is where the money went that was applied for malpractice ins. prior to 1991 for most specialists. The vast cuts of 1991, remaining essentially constant for 18 years up to the present with essentially no increases at all, were part of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1987 and not announced when they were phased in on Jan 1 1991. Some specialists, with practices of more than 50% medicare, noted cuts amounting to 65% in their practices...with no relief up to the present time. The Dem health bills anticipate national health ins. reimbursements to drop for ALL private physicians to equal or less than the 1991 levels.

Except for a few professional articles, no attention was paid to the effect of the 1991 medicare cuts and the rising inability of MDs at the time to meet rising malpractice premiums...the Congress itself, Democrat, during the Reagan administration, caused the malpractice crisis in the first place by under compensating the doctors on Medicare way below exisisting discounted Blue Cross/Blue Shield reimbursment rates.

One specialist I know says he was paid $32 a point in 1990, close, but lower than BC/BS, and, in Jan 1991 Medicare dropped his specialties reimbursement to $16, and it has remained at $16 and a few cents for 18 years!! Isn’t cost containment wonderful! His specialty is totally dependent on private insurance for existence in private practice.
