NEW YORK (Aug. 3) -- He's become a publicity nightmare for CNN, embarrassed his boss and hosted a show that seemed to contradict the network's "no bias" brand. And on top of all that, his ratings are slipping.
How does Lou Dobbs keep his job?
It's not a simple answer. CNN insists it is standing behind Dobbs, despite calls for his head from critics of his reporting on "birthers" — those who believe President Barack Obama wasn't born in the United States despite convincing evidence to the contrary.
The "birthers" believe Obama was born in Kenya, and thus not eligible to be president.

The longer this goes on, the more CNN looks like the loser it is.
In all fairness, you don’t have to be too talented to beat Chris Matthews. Footage of my cat licking her butt would rate higher. That says, I kind of like Dobbs, because he does whatever it is he wants, he has an independent streak I kind of dig, like an old crotchety man who just doesn’t give a sweet crap about anything, he’s gonna do 40 mph in the left lane and if you don’t like it you can pound it.
LOu Dobbs gets ratings so they will be fools to fire him and I doubt they will be able to muzzle him. Lou has a LOT of courage. We should support Lou by watching his show. It will be the only thing I ever watch on horrible CNN.
CNN fired Glen Beck after pressure from the Left. I expect Dobbs will follow.

I agree with about 95% of what he says. Some people said he was pro union but I saw that he was against outsourcing.
Lou has more guts than just about any other pundit out there. He speaks his mind. He appeals to all types of Americans too.

If CNN fires Lou Dobbs it will cost them a lot of $$$. Lou’s ratings are in the top tier at CNN. I forget who he is up against at Fox. Is it that pansy RINO sissy boy Shep Smith?

Media didn't ask those questions because they were/are part of the conspiracy to put this Marxist Usurper in the white house by using the power of media to strip away the citizenship right to elect a government of their choice based on complete accurate, unbiased information.
Maybe Anderson Cooper's boyfriend needs a TV job.
Convincing evidence, as defined by AP, is anything the Obama Administration tells us.
If they were honest, they would say that the "birthers" suspect that he was not born in the United States, and are concerned by the secrecy of Obama's past and sealing of all his documents. Lacking Obama's transparency, they are forced to seek out their own corroboration.

AP missed the part where CNN’s boss forced Dobbs to lie on air about Hawaii destroying all the birth certificates.
