Joseph Farah : Why I doubt Kenyan birth document
WorldNetDaily ^ | August 3, 2009 | Joseph Farah

Posted on 08/04/2009 6:15:41 AM PDT by RobinMasters

I bet that got your attention.

For 24 hours, I have been deluged with e-mail – about 6,000 more than usual – that essentially fall into three categories:

- Thank you for getting the goods on Barack Obama – I knew he was born in Kenya.

- You really stepped in it this time, Farah. That document is bogus and it's going to take the whole "birther" movement down once it is revealed as such.

- Don't you investigate the facts before you publish something? That document cannot be real because of X, Y and Z.

Because so many Americans have been educated in government schools, it is probably necessary for me to explain that reporting a news story is different than making an assertion.

No one at WND – not me, not Jerome Corsi, not any columnists, not any reporters – have defended the authenticity of the Kenyan birth certificate. No one here has made a judgment that it is real. What we did was report a fact – that California attorney Orly Taitz has filed a motion in federal court to determine its authenticity.

check out posts 4 & 5...post #4 shows that the Australian BC used two different number “1’s” for the Aussy’s birthdate.

A breakdown in post 5 is also quite intriguing.

Since it is apparently rather easy to counterfeit a birth certificate and put it on the internet, we have to assume that all of these birth certificates are fake. All of them. The only way to clear this up is for Obama to have the State of Hawaii release all the "vital documents" they have related to his birth registration. He also needs to allow Kenya to release any information they may have as well.

Failure to come clean is nothing less than stonewalling.

Obama is hiding something. Obviously. He is clearly HIDING his birth records, along with just about everything related to his life.

Quoting the article, “The Kenyan document could be real. I haven’t seen a single disqualifying error pointed out in the last 24 hours.”

Obviously, the document is suspect because IT HAD NO DISQUALIFYING ERRORS.

One way to kill this story is to purposefully put out a fake certificate and watch the debate.

In the public interest, Obama should stop this debate and clear the air. Obviously, he’s not doing that for a couple of possible reasons.

Anyone could march into a Hawaii public health department office and say he or she had a baby, fill out a form with the pertinent details, sign it and there would be no questions asked. That unverified procedure, by one "parent," would result in the generation of a certification of live birth – and, by the way, newspaper announcements in the local papers.

Well exactly.

Whatever, the BC issue continues to grow, almost exponentially.
While, I consider myself a birther, I am not overly
wrapped up in it, and not spending too much time on the
purported BCs, the fakes, or the fakes of fakes that seem to be breading like flies.

I have always focused on and said that Obama should
end the debate by releasing his birth certificate.
I have never been given a reason from either side
as to why he refuses to do so, other then that it does not exist, or has very damning information.

I wish WND had handled this a little better.

I have a huge problem with one key part.

They state, “WND was able to obtain other birth certificates from Kenya for purposes of comparison, and the form of the documents appear to be identical. “

They totally fail to post an image of any of the documents they used for comparison.

The fail to say whether any of the documents they used for comparison were dated prior to Dec 12th, 1964.

A key question, since it’s strange that the document would have a header and seal saying “REPUBLIC OF KENYA” 10 months before Kenya became a Republic.

If they could show an image of another BC copy before Dec 12th 1964 it would resolve this question and dramatically improve the chances it was real. If all the comparison docs were after this date they should say so.

It’s a couple days now after their story and they still haven’t updated on these points despite being asked... What’s going on guys?

The Australian BC is a fake. Look closely at the Date and place of birth. 10th April, 1959. The number “1” in the 10th and the number “1” in 1959 are different. Who knew that a typewriter in 1962 had two different number ones.

Farah is simply reaffirming what he has already reported.

Simply stated, those who have said that Farah or Taitz have declared it authentic are lying. Its a typical leftist tactic of putting words in the mouth of another and attacking those words in an attempt to avoid the real issue.

It is far too late for Joseph to put a rational spin on an irrational situation. As for Dr. Taitz, she is trying to do what we are all trying to do, get some court somewhere to do something to force BHO, Jr. prove his bona fides.

The law and the Constitution are NOT on our side. That's because there is (A) no law requiring BHO to do anything, and (B) while the Constitution is clear about the requirement, it does not spell out the details of what a "Natural Born Citizen" actually is.

Until a state legislature passes a law demanding that Presidential candidates prove eligibility before being placed on that state's official ballot, or receiving that state's Electoral College vote, we are more or less SOL and stuck with BHO until he is removed by Hillary in 2012.

In the meantime, let us hope that the elections of 2010 revive Republican numbers to the point, that in a parliamentary alliance with the best of the Blue Dogs, they can shut Obama down for the remaining years of his only term.

In the meantime, we're doing all that we can do, i.e., keep the pressure on, support those on the front lines like Dr. Taitz, and educate that part of the public that can handle it.

The LAMEST rationalization is the ever-popular “Obama loves this—he’s letting the birthers look like idiots.” (Boortz and Beck this morning.)

And there’s: “The Obamabots are letting the birthers go crazy, and then they’ll reveal that it was a fake, making the birthers look like idiots.”

They are always GOING to do this. It’s always the explanation for why we ought to drop the issue. But it never happens. It has never happened.

This is the sound and logical position of "birthers" in general despite the MSM's attempt to portray us foaming at the mouth around this document. We are conservatives, are we not? Taitz is doing her best to take the appropriate steps to validate or invalidate the document. That is reasonable and a helluva lot more than has been done with the certificate purported to belong to Mr. Obama over at "factcheck".

Again, the birth certificate issue itself is largely moot. Having dual-citizenship, and therefore dual-allegiance, at birth precludes Mr. Obama from satisfying the "natural born citizen" requirement for this office. As Mr. Obama has in his own words confirmed his duality, the birth certificate issue remains largely tangential.

No Joesph, you don't have to defend it. With such a high profile movement as this, simply producing one bogus document after another will take down your credibility, or worse, make the birther movement a laughing stock.

True for Smith-Corona. However, the British Imperial Typewriter did have a "1" key.

And when a typewriter DID have a “one,” the typist would sometimes remember to use the “one” and sometimes use the lower-case “L.”

My sisters got their very own Sears typewriter back in the sixties, and it had a “one.” Wow! Mom’s old Underwood from the ‘thirties didn’t have a “one.”

If you read the lawsite presented by Taitz, it shows that they think the Kenyan BC is actually a forgery that was presented by Obama himself when applying for a school grant to attend Occidental College. They suspect that Obama was trying to present himself as foreign born so as to qualify for the foreign exchange program. This is why Obama does not want the world to see his student records.

In and gone. Lets not read too much into this, because she was there to pick up her parents for an anniversary trip to her home in the old Soviet Union.

Israel wouldn't want to nakedly help remove a President of the United States, but they might do some leg work where it wouldn't be safe for Orly to go, just perhaps.
