Following reports that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel has been orchestrating an effort to intimidate members of Congress and Governors who raise legitimate concerns regarding the effectiveness of the stimulus, House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Ranking Member Darrell Issa (R-CA) sent a letter to Emanuel saying While this type of scare tactic may work In Chicago, it will not work to intimidate me or other Members of the United States Congress.
I and others have dared to bring these facts to the attention of President Obama, the Congress and the American people, Issa wrote. Youve unfortunately reacted by once again resorting to the playbook of the Chicago political machine.
Last month, Politico reported that Emanuel had launched a coordinated effort to jam Senator Kyl and other Administration critics [A]fter seeing Kyl and House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) again paint the legislation as a failure on Sunday talk shows, White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel directed that the letters from the Cabinet secretaries be sent to [Governor] Brewer, according to two administration officials.
Issa noted, The fact that the letters were coordinated by you to maximize the level of intimidation is supported by the timing, structure, and content of each letter. Not only were the four letters all sent the day following Senator Kyls remarks, but they were also remarkably similar in tone and sentence structure.

It is called the Nepolian Complex. I have seen it many times. Here is a fine example of a guy who did not get His A$$ kicked enough when he was young.
Issa has been consistently against Obama and his policies, unlike many in the GOP including the Chairman, who spent months basking in Obama’s presence before they bought a clue that the only thing Obama was interested in stimulating was Socialism.
Issa needs to grow a spine and tell Obama that the legality of the use of Czars will be reviewed by Congress and the practice may have seen it’s last days.
Sounds like Congressman Issa has invited the Pi$$boy outside for an attitude adjustment. Good. ‘Bout time.
Chicago thugs in sheep’s clothing...all of Obama’s henchmen!
“Congressman Issa is a brave man.”
Not only that, he’s really cool.
Go get ‘em Mr. Issa. Let the punks know that they’re punks.
Issa and DeMint need our support.
I'm thinking that maybe he is PRESIDENTIAL material!
He has taken the bull by the horns. Other Republicans are cowering in the shadows.
Issa is a Republican. He can’t institute a congressional review of the Czar policy.
However, he can certainly speak out on the issue, again and again.
North San Diego County and South Riverside County.
Too bad he's not a senator, now that it's OK to make senators President.
Sarah and he would look good together, no?
I am more and more impressed by Rep. Issa. I’d like to see him seek higher office, though in California that’s a tall order.
Soon, very soon these congressmen will be gettingate night visits from the New Black Panthers for more intense couching on what the WH will allow.
They would call that picking on a runt.
They can ride a rail just like the best of em......
Rahm survive the wrath of the copresident Hillary Clinton, and there are very very few who can make that claim.
Some congressmen resentfully hide from angry constituents while others are emboldened. Congressman Issa has previously stood down terrorist bomb plots.
Yes, it’s commonly referred to as “short man’s syndrome.” Wow, I feel like shouting! About time someone said “BOO!” to the little Ballerina. That little thug has needed a smackdown for years. I’m sensing something happening in this country, aren’t you? Maybe the America I grew up in is beginning to rumble to life.
Remember that recent study that showed that politicians have many of the same personality traits as serial killers?
