He said something to the effect "this is a song someone in the house down the road might want to sing". Or something close to that. At any rate, it's was a dedication by any stretch of the imagination.

They got into drugs. At that point, they lost me. I stayed normal and silly. (they became freaks) ;-)

I share your sentiments. I saw him in the Kingdome in ‘76 and he was great then. He lost it after that. If he came to Seattle again I would walk to Spokane if necessary.
