NC voted for Obama, elected Hagan, has a Dem Gov and legislature. Sounds pretty blue to me.

Maybe Alaska is sunk by the Eskimos or Polar Bears that vote or were polled!

Alaska was weird though.

Perhaps it's too cold to sit through church.

Well, you know polls...we all give credence to the ones we agree with and dismiss the others.

All good Red States, sans NC (how the hell did Zero win there?)

Lot's of blue moved into the Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte areas in recent years.

Thanks very much for the LEAST RELIGIOUS list.

It’s ironic that a lot of these states were founded by RELIGIOUS people. Especially the Pilgrims.

If the Pilgrims were to land in modern-day Provincetown, Massachusetts: they would name it “New Sodom” and promptly head back to England.

Only Massachusetts. The rest of New England was founded by people the Puritans chased out.

The only thing that shocks me is that Utah is not number one.

I'm not shocked. If you consider that in a population of 2.8 million only about 70% are actually in "the church", however of that group of about 1.7 million Mormons roughly only one third (560,000)of them actually follow the religion. The rest of us are either called "apostates" or "jack mormons".

Always gives me a cold piercing feeling in my bosom and really helps take the religious spirit right out of me.

In fact I'm surprised the state isn't in the lower group.

You’ll be on the membership books until you’re 110, and they’ll use you as a tool for proselyting (as in, there are 13,000,000 Mormons) But in actuality you’re right. Only about 25 to 33% of Mormons are active and then some of those are only active because of the darned Utah society that places appearances over substance.

I'm sure there is a poll, ahem, that was run by the MORMON Religious Organization® that's shows the LDS (SLC branch) LEADING in the qualities that make for good conservatives, family values, correct theology and all that stuff.

Perhaps the UNasked question would be:

Is religion your life?

I don’t know, lucky #9 Oklahoma is usually pretty high in things that I would say most wouldn’t consider moral. Like teen pregnancy, divorce etc.
