This thread at the Right Side of Life, keying off of a FreeRepublic.com thread, is actually a pretty useful look at the way facts bounce off of the “birther” community like so many eggs off of a Humvee.
David Wiegel (sic) is a regular poster at the Politijab Forum.
Actually, no: I joined the site in order to read the threads at that superlative Web forum for “birther”-debunkers. I’ve never posted a comment there.
The rest of the argument posits that “Politijab is an astroturf site” because its inbound links come from AOL News, Daily Kos, Topix, and Democratic Underground. How that proves that the site is astroturf, I have no earthly idea.
You can draw your own conclusions, however a betting man would find favorable odds that a one “David Weigel” is part of the fraud campaign.
The “fraud campaign” is a new conspiracy theory, which argues that David Bomford’s birth certificate (used to forge the infamous “Kenyan birth certificate”) is itself a forgery, despite David Bomford’s acknowledgment that it’s real, and despite the failure of anyone responsible for the “Kenyan” certificate to come forward. One more reason to doubt that even the release of every Obama record would please the birthers; with the Bomford certificate, they have a genuine document that predates this conspiracy theory, and their forums are abuzz with “proof” of how it’s forged.

If it is a fraud, it is the marxist hacks that Weigel pals around with that did it. We’ll get to the bottom of this.
Well, I saw at least one post on a thread I’ve misplaced saying that the Bomford birth certificate shows signs of being photoshopped, because overlays appear on it if you know how to look. In fact, if I remember correctly, I think it was his teenage daughter who made the discovery. I can’t vouch for that, but it sounded reasonable enough. Maybe someone else has the first-hand evidence.
Also, I remember seeing that “Bomford” is a misspelling for “Bamford.” Can’t vouch for that, either, but it sounds like a Daily Kos quality forgery to me.
So, this guy goes to a website where insane leftists exchange memes-of-the-moment about it without actually doing any research or logical thinking?

I just need confirmation that the BC Taitz has is actual paper. I know it appears to be on the web.
If it is, then the credibility tilts toward her until “Bomford” comes up with his paper doc. Whichever one is on paper is probably the real one, and the one that is just pixels on a website is probably the doctored one.
I’m suspicious of the Bomford for a couple of reasons. First, the text on his is too perfect where the creases cut through the letter. Second, you can’t get to his image from within the Bomford website. Thirdly, until this blew up, how ever would anyone have found it through Google? The story of how it came out isn’t very believable to me at least. Fourthly, apparently the website was edited within a couple of days of the new doc’s appearance on the scene. Looks suspicious to me.
Still, if Bomford produces a 50 year old paper doc, and Taitz’s is just pixels, then hers is the fake. I suspect until proven otherwise that its the other way around.
I should add that the same poster says that there were NO photoshop overlays on the Taitz certificate.
Personally, I'm just going to be patient and wait until that info is sorted.

It boils down to this. We ask for something very simple and we get a flurry of fake documents in an effort to muddy the water. Fakes and fakes of fakes, when all we ask for is to see the real one, which he can release anytime he wants to.
If he refuses to, I assume its because he doesn't dare. Its easier to flood the market with phony docs than to produce the real one.

One definition of a `tacit admission’ is silence from someone in a situation where you would expect an `innocent’ person to reply and deny, e.g. “No, it wasn’t me. And here’s my Dodgers/opera ticket stub to prove where I was.”
But we have never actually heard the current president give his version of, “I didn’t have sex with that .. woman.” have we? If he has said “I am a natural born American citizen ... “ I must have missed it.
And if so, why doesn’t he cough up the BC? If he eventually does produce an authentic document, at that time *he* can `eat crow’ for wasting hundreds of thousands of tax dollars and Justice dept. assets.
His credibility, veracity & integrity have all been challenged & impeached. His only response, to my knowledge, is to keep sending `birther eruption’ squads to insult and degrade those of us challenging his election as possibly fraudulent.

It is a continuation of war by other means—this is politics and law, and it’s come down to whether if after 35 years my (sometimes) tag line is still good law.

To my mind, a dispassionate analysis based on what there is so far suggests that the Kenyan BC was bait for a trap.
Their hope was that Orly would enthusiastically reach in and grab hold of the Kenyan BC, and announce it to the world as Zero's.
And were she to grab hold of the Kenyan BC, their hope was that, metaphorically speaking, the jaws of the trap would spring shut and sever off her arm.
To find those who set the trap, follow the trail of how the obscure Bomford BC was suddenly "found" and publicized.
The tell-tale sign of the plan? The forgers left names and page references the same in the Kenyan BC as in the Bomford BC.
Anyone going to all of the trouble of preparing a careful forgery of a Kenyan BC would NOT change some names, dates etc. but then LEAVE identical page references and surnames. No, that was intentional.
There was a reason those page references and surnames were left unchanged, and that was so that when the Bomford BC was revealed and the trap sprung, there would be no doubt that the Bomford BC was the basis of the forgery.
I expect the Bomford BC to be proven real in the coming days, and then a huge MSM pile-on to discredit Orly, the so-called "birthers" as well as FreeRepublic and other forums in which people have been grabbing on to the Kenyan BC.
All this effort is to try to discredit and marginalize the growing awareness in the country that Zero has refused to release the most basic information about his background, and the demand that he do so.
This is a Reichstag Fire-style tactic, and is a signature tactic of both nazis and communists.
And it is a further indication that whatever Zero is concealing about his background must be damaging indeed.
But here’s the rub. She did not announce it to be zero’s. SHe says she has no idea if it is legit.
Yes, she would be wise to maintain a professional distance from the Kenyan BC, the Bonford BC and any other such documents.
But don’t expect the MSM to make that distinction - they are smear artists, not journalists. For example, in the Orwellian MSM discourse of our brave new world, the term “swift-boating” is supposed to mean smearing someone with false information, whereas in reality, it was bringing to the public’s attention real and disparaging information about Kerry’s truthfulness and character.
And I think Orly should press forward with the effort to get the court to authorize discovery.
She has an argument that the best and most definitive way to ascertain the matter is for the court to authorize a discovery request to the Kenyan state agency, and she should press forward with that argument.
His *real* birth certificate probably has a typo showing him as white, or female, or both. /sarc>
